Let your Imagination Bloom
In Windows Vista, you now have the option to add gadgets to your desktop. From searching the internet to checking the server status of your favorite game, keeping an eye on your e-mail, and perhaps just having a little fun, Vista gadgets can take you as far as the imagination can stretch.
What Is A Vista Gadget?
Information at the tips of Your Fingers

A Vista Gadget Is like a tiny sliver of a webpage that performs a certain function. It has a certain look, it uses the same technology as most websites, and it performs equally was well. While gadgets are made using things like HTML, JavaScript, and AJAX, it's important to note that not all gadgets require an internet connection to run.
Most Gadgets currently available will use a mix of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and XML. Many internet based gadgets will use AJAX style programming to achieve seemless performance.
What Can You Do With A Gadget? Why, anything you want as long as you can script it! That's the beauty of this system, it is (like many things) limited only by your own imagination!
