Packet8 - It seems that the Packet 8 service uses up less of your internet connection's bandwidth than does the other services. Packet8 say that the phone uses about 17kb of bandwidth upstream and downstream, and suggest not using it on lines slower than 64kb for best quality. Other VoIP providers recommend a minimum line speed of 128kb.

VoIP is definitely the way to go for cheap, reliable phone service. I can personally recommend using Zenofon for dirt cheap long distance and international calls right from your mobile phone. You also get commissions for every person you refer to their program!
