Voluntary Simplicity - Series

When we discuss Voluntary Simplicity, there are different interpretations of the term. I address this concept from the spiritual aspect of the theory. The aspects that help us to simplify our lives, so we have time for the most important aspects, such as family, community, and service.

Life is filled with distractions everywhere we turn. The news focus' on all the worst aspects of human nature, and sometimes we forget that there are stories that do not get told. The Good News that is left off of the media because it takes second place to all the bad news.

I do not believe our media is to blame. It is our nature to want to know what is going on. It protects us from becoming victim to horrible deeds.

On the other hand, we can get over saturated with this kind of news and we need to balance it out with some real human kindness information. So, why not create your own personal human kindness story. Gather your family together and hug on them. Schedule time with them. This series will outline applicable easy ways you can do this as well as reflection on each activity as it will impact your life.

The smallest human contact on a daily basis might be the answer to reducing the number of bad news stories we hear about and increasing the event of the Good News stories. Your family will be a catalyst to change.
