A Brief History of Voodoo

In the early seventeen hundreds Louisiana was a French colony where slave ownership was commonplace. Most of the African slaves came from west Africa and brought with them their religious beliefs which involved ancestor and spirit worship and a high respect for the elders. They had a vast knowledge of poisons, herbs and making of amulets and charms, which they used to protect or harm others were the main themes of voodoo. Eventually Catholic practices, such as baptism, the sign of the cross and Catholic prayers were blended into the voodoo culture. What is known today as Louisiana voodoo or New Orleans voodoo is similar to the Haitian voodou but has more emphasis upon gris-gris and voodoo Queens. The gris-gris is their word for talisman or voodoo doll.
Some people assume voodoo is witchcraft.

The Little Voodoo Kit: Revenge Therapy for the Over-Stressed (Paperback)

'The doll with many pinholes is the doll whose master sleeps peacefully at night and greets every day with a smile.'...

I bought this book for some fellow "inmates" at work. It is one of the funniest books I have read in a long time. What a wonderful way to relieve stress. This book sure does the trick. I probably could buy dozens and give them out to a lot of people here - I've already got four people asking me where I got it because they want to buy one for a friend or relative. What a clever idea. Thanks for making work fun.

Who Were the Voodoo Queens?

And where did voodoo dolls come from?

Marie Laveau was the most famous voodoo Queen of New Orleans in the 1830s. She was a devout Catholic and encouraged her followers to attend Catholic mass. Voodoo queens performed exorcisms, and administered charms, offered sacrifices to spirits, and made up magical powders which were guaranteed to cure illness, bring success or destroy one's enemy.

A common misconception is that voodoo dolls are mainly used to curse someone but they are more traditionally used to bless, cure or solve problems.

How to make voodoo doll.
Tie two sticks together in a cross shape, use strong string. Wrap some Spanish moss around sticks, starting around the middle for strengthening and then around the head around the bottom and around the arms. Use more string around the moss if necessary to keep it from falling off then wrap some fabric strips around the moss and leave some of the moss showing at the end of each stick. This will represent the hair, hands and feet. Make the face using beads or use glue and black peas and use a button or bead for the mouth. Lastly use some colored fabric for the clothes that your doll will represent some person and don't forget to accessorize it!

This kit is very effective and powerful! Make sure that you really want what you ask for and think it through first. You will definitely find what you seek! The results are quick and amazing. Personal effects of the one on whom a spell is cast are needed but don't let the lack of it or the difficulty many may find in obtaining it stop you.
When people think of personal effects they tend to think in terms of hair, fingernail clippings, pieces of clothing, etc. Sometimes those types of items sre impossible to get hold of especially if the one the spell is being cast on lives a great distance away. As a person with many years of experience in the occult under my belt, I remind you that there is nothing more personal than a person's name!

Do you practice voodoo or what do you think of voodoo?

Have you ever made a voodoo doll and/or tried to hurt someone with it?
