Voter Registration and/or Fraud
I BELIEVE WE ALL WANT TO BE FREE TO VOTE AND FEEL OUR VOTE WILL COUNT. WE CAN ONLY DO SO IF WE HAVE THE ASSURANCE OUR VOTE WILL COUNT AS CAST.
I hope this lens will be informative. I have tried to give you just a taste of what is happening across our nation regarding voter fraud. Phyllis Schlafly, who is quoted below, is a fighter for our rights. She is an American conservative political activist. She is for protecting the US Constitution and its proper interpretation of it. Her book "The Supremacists: The Tyranny Of Judges And How To Stop It" is an eye opener and I recommend it to all who want to know more about the fate of our judicial system. Her writings can be found at her on-line site Eagle Forum.

The Danger of Vote Fraud in the 2008 Election
September 19, 2008 by Phyllis Schlafly
The most provocative line in the Democratic national platform adopted in Denver is: "We oppose laws that require identification in order to vote or register to vote." Since it's routine to show an ID in order to board a plane and do dozens of other very ordinary things, what's the big deal about showing an ID to exercise the most important privilege of citizenship?
That question is answered in the new book by John Fund called Stealing Elections: How Voter Fraud Threatens Our Democracy." Honest elections absolutely depend on preventing the stuffing of the ballot box by people who are not eligible to vote.

Lawmaker Pushes for Investigation into ACORN Finances

Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, a member of the Judiciary Committee, is demanding congressional hearings into the financial structure of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.
Most of the investigations into ACORN, the low-income advocacy group, have focused on voter registration fraud. But now lawmakers want to follow the money.
Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, a member of the Judiciary Committee, is demanding congressional hearings into the financial structure of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.
"I don't think they've been examined in any significant way at all," he said.
King questions the actions of ACORN officials as well as the multitude of nonprofit activist groups that apparently overlap with ACORN and share the same headquarters address in New Orleans.

ACORN. I can understand a few greedy people taking advantage of a business like ACORN for their own gain, BUT.....there are just too many voter registration fraud/voter fraud allegations occuring! We are seeing cases after cases in several of the state across the country. My biggest question is, "What does this have to do with the previous election?" Think about it!
President Obama has been linked with ACORN. With all the bad publicity this organization has had, why would President Obama even consider ACORN for the US Censes? I hate to point fingers but I have paid attention to what has been going on in this country and there is too much corruption (Illinois). I am not saying there is proof that President Obama knew what was going on but I feel the Democratic "powers to be" wanted to seal the race!
All one has to do is follow the news, but not just the American news. Even Canada is asking what is up? Look at the headlines.

Taxpayer money helps fund voter fraud.
By Meghan Clyne
Reports of voter-registration fraud are tiresomely commonplace. From the 6,000 ineligible felons listed on Colorado's voter rolls, to the cocaine offered in exchange for registrations from Mary Poppins and Dick Tracy in Ohio, this year's swing states have already seen unprecedentedly corrupt get-out-the-vote efforts.
This is especially true in Florida, where the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) is the subject of a state investigation for potentially criminal voter-registration activity.
THE MONEY TREE
Although ACORN's projects run a wide gamut, the group claims as its purpose helping low- and middle-income Americans - through initiatives ranging from improving urban public schools, to providing counseling on how to avoid "predatory lending," to increasing the availability of "affordable housing." Most of these programs are conducted locally, by state-level ACORN organizations - which are often set up as 501(c)3 nonprofit entities distinct from the national ACORN umbrella, a 501(c)4 lobbying organization. Sounds benign enough - except that, according to Bob Huberty, executive vice president of the Capital Research Center, these tax-exempt 501(c)3s "have no reason for existence other than to get grants from the government and foundations." They are, essentially, an ACORN front for asking Uncle Sam to subsidize political activity.

Eight workers for a get-out-the-vote effort in St. Louis city and county have pleaded guilty to federal election fraud for submitting false registration cards for the 2006 election, authorities said today.
The workers were employed by the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), gathering voter registrations. U.S. Attorney Catherine Hanaway said they submitted cards with false addresses and names, and forged signatures.

LAS VEGAS - Nevada authorities seized records Tuesday from a group they accused of submitting fraudulent voter-registration forms - including for the starting lineup of the Dallas Cowboys.
"Tony Romo is not registered to vote in the state of Nevada, and anybody trying to pose as Terrell Owens won't be able to cast a ballot on Nov. 4," said Secretary of State Ross Miller, referring to star players on the pro football team.
State authorities raided the headquarters of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, a group that works to register low-income people.
Miller said the raid was part of a monthslong investigation, and he contended the group had submitted registration forms that used false information or duplicated information on multiple forms. He did not estimate how many.
Bertha Lewis, interim chief organizer for ACORN, said the group has been working with election officials to weed out fraudulent forms from those submitted by the canvassers it hires.
"Today's raid by the secretary of state's office is a stunt that serves no useful purpose other than to discredit our work registering Nevadans," Lewis said.
"For the past 10 months, anytime ACORN has identified a potentially fraudulent application, we turn that application in to election officials separately and offer to provide election officials with the information they would need to pursue an investigation or prosecution of the individual," Lewis said.
She said ACORN had turned in 46 problem applications submitted by 33 former employees to election officials in the Las Vegas area, where it has registered 80,000 people.
According to its national Web site, the group has registered 1.3 million people nationwide for the Nov. 4 election. It has encountered complaints of fraud stemming from registration efforts in Wisconsin, North Carolina, New Mexico, Michigan, Ohio and Missouri.
"The fact is, this is hard work and there were some people that probably sat down on a couch and filled out names out of a phone book," said Matthew Henderson, Southwest regional director for ACORN. "That's really what we're talking about here - not an attempt to steal an election."
Miller said no one had been charged or arrested in Nevada.
His spokesman, Bob Walsh, said investigators were using information from various sources, including the FBI and the U.S. attorney's office in Nevada.
"You don't have to read too many cop novels to know that sometimes people will tell you a grain of truth to try to hide the rest of the truth," Walsh said. "I'm certainly not suggesting that ACORN is that nefarious, but at the same time just because they handed over 50 to you doesn't mean there aren't 150 others out there."

Black Box Voting
Black Box Voting signifies voting on voting machines which do not disclose how they operate such as with closed source or proprietary operations. The term, described by Dr. Arnold Urken of Stephens Institute of Tech., comes from the technical jargon use of the term black box, a device or system or object when it is viewed primarily in terms of its input and output characteristics. Dr. Urken's group at Stevens Institute was one of the first Independent Testing Authorities for voting machines.

What if Barack Obama's most important radical connection has been hiding in plain sight all along? Obama has had an intimate and long-term association with the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (Acorn), the largest radical group in America. If I told you Obama had close ties with MoveOn.org or Code Pink, you'd know what I was talking about. Acorn is at least as radical as these better-known groups, arguably more so. Yet because Acorn works locally, in carefully selected urban areas, its national profile is lower. Acorn likes it that way. And so, I'd wager, does Barack Obama.

ELIMINATE TAXPAYERS SUPPORT TO ACORN
Tuesday, October 07, 2008

Note: One wise Senator wants to CUT taxpayers support to ACORN.
FROM THE NATIONAL REVIEW ON-LINE
"ENSIGN URGES FEDS TO STOP PAYMENTS TO ACORN" [Rich Lowry]
Washington, D.C. -
In a letter to the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA), Senator John Ensign today called for the suspension of taxpayer dollars that ultimately end up in the hands of such controversial groups as ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now. ACORN, which is under investigation, is eligible for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac affordable housing funds, which add up to hundreds of millions of dollars a year.
"With the government takeover of Fannie and Freddie, the government will be taxing itself to create a backdoor slush fund, and we must prevent these taxpayer dollars from going toward ACORN," said Ensign. "With the recent news tying ACORN with voter fraud, suspending these funds is even more urgent."
As part of the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008, Fannie and Freddie are required to provide funding for newly created affordable housing funds. This was signed into law prior to the government takeover of the two agencies. Now that the government owns Fannie and Freddie and may provide them with up to $200 billion, taxing these companies does not help create stability, which is the goal of FHFA.
A search warrant was served today on the ACORN Headquarters in Nevada as part of an ongoing investigation into whether employees used false addresses or false names as part of their voter registration operation.
The letter was sent to James Lockhart, the Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency today. As the regulatory agency overseeing Fannie and Freddie, FHFA has the authority to stop these contributions to the affordable housing funds. Senators Michael Enzi, Jon Kyl, David Vitter, Pat Roberts, Tom Coburn, John Thune and Jim DeMint signed the letter with Ensign.

The Honorable James B. Lockhart III
Director
Federal Housing Finance Agency
1700 G Street, NW
Fourth Floor
Washington, D.C. 20552
Dear Director Lockhart:
We write today to urge you to exercise your statutory authority to suspend any contributions from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to the newly created affordable housing funds, which could direct federal dollars to controversial groups like ACORN.
The Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 requires that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac set aside an amount equal to 4.2 basis points for each dollar of new business activity and transfer those funds to two newly created affordable housing funds. The Congressional Budget Office estimates that such assessments may equal hundreds of millions of dollars a year for each company. Sec. 1337(b) of 12 U.S.C. 1301, however, gives you the authority to suspend those contributions if the assessments would contribute to the financial instability or the undercapitalization of the enterprises.
Less than one month ago, the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) placed the enterprises into conservatorship due to concerns over the soundness of the firms and their difficulty in raising sufficient capital to carry out their missions. You said in a Sept. 7, 2008, statement that the companies could not "continue to operate safely and soundly and fulfill their critical public mission" and that "FHFA will act as the conservator to operate the Enterprises until they are stabilized."
Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are clearly financially unstable and face significant capitalization problems. One does not need to wait for financial reports to understand that. We strongly believe that taxing the companies hundreds of millions of dollars a year weakens their financial health and is completely at odds with FHFA's goal of stabilizing the companies and returning them to normal business operations. We urge you to suspend any contributions to the affordable housing funds until at a minimum the enterprises are no longer in conservatorship and to make such a decision without further delay. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.

- I personally think that George W. Bush and his brother were more directly involved in vote fraud than Obama ever was with Acorn. Obama's affiliation with Acorn was and is a peripheral connection.
I personally can never agree or trust anything Glen Beck and his ilk have to say about Obama because of the hate that spews from their lips. They are all psychotic, at best.
But I appreciate the fact that you took the time to write this lens. I just hope you consider another point of view.
