The cameras were purchased as a Christmas present for two of my grandsons. Recently, they came for a weekend visit and one of the toys they brought were their cameras (3 months after Christmas and still holding their interest!) The cameras are durable and creative. I bought this camera for my 6 year old nephew and he loves it. His favorite feature is being able to add the goofy effects to the picture when he's taking it. I was definitely surprised by how many features this camera had and how easy it was to use. I was a little apprehensive to purchase it at first since it's rated for 3+, I didn't want it to be a kiddy camera but one that he felt was more "grown-up" ~ that's definitely what we got. He loves the fact that he can take pictures and see them like his parents camera does. I would highly recommend this camera to kids ages 3 to 10.

Parents Will Appreciate That A Lot
My son (he'll be 4 in Aug) has had this camera since Christmas of 2008. He LOVES it. He's always taking pictures and looking at the screen. He's even figured out how to record his voice. He gets such a kick out of that.
A couple of nights ago, I heard the water running. I went downstairs and he was holding the camera under running water. I explained that he can't do this and that the camera is probably broken now. So my husband took the camera apart and we let it dry to see if it could be saved. To our surprise - IT STILL WORKS. We had to let it dry out all night but when my husband put it back together it works just fine!
I wouldn't recommend putting the camera in water (maybe we just got lucky) but I can say that this camera appears to be kid-proof and we are VERY VERY happy with this purchase!
