Can making lenses on Squidoo Make you money?

I am a stay at home mom who has just recently learned about squidoo. I would like to be a work at home mom. I have tried many things to make money as a WAHM. So far I have not had much sucess, except with handmade soaps and lotions. But I would like to do more, and see more income.
There is a lot of buzz about Squidoo and how much google loves to index the lenses. So I am going to attempt to make lenses and see what kind of money I can get.
I will test it out and report back here. If it is worth it, how much money I make, how long it takes and how many lenses I have. And maybe some tips on how to get people to look at the lenses (as soon as I figure that one out for my self).
So far I have been squidooing for about 1 week. I have gotten no money yet, hopefully something at least by the end of the month. I have 4 other lenses and this one will be my fifth.
I have noticed some of the people with higher ranking lenses often have lots of lenses. I am guessing the more you have the more money you can make. I am not going to try to make a million lenses or anything outrageous and unatainable as that. But people are oviously makeing money from this like the Suidoo Queen. How does Squidoo make you money?
There are three ways to make money from squidoo.
MONEY FROM AD'S: Like the google ads placed at the top of the lens. To make money from google ads you only need visitors to click on the ad. Or the Glam ad, if you choose to turn them on. If you are trying to make money you want to have the ads maxed out!
MONEY SELLING ITEMS: Selling things from CafePress and ebay will also generate money. Just try to make these modules relevant to your lens.
MONEY FROM AFFILLIATE MARKETING: Like signing up with clickbank and placing a link about a book that goes along with your lens. Example - Click Here to learn the secrets of the Squidoo Queen!

Why am I doing this?

Work at Home Tips
1. If you are going to work at home no matter what you are doing you need to have self motivation. If that means you make yourself work for 15 minutes on something you really hate doing. You will be surprised how 15 minutes can turn into an hour or two of productivity.
2. Learn some basic HTML, or find a really good website to help you out.
3. Make a list of things you need to accomplish.
Don't go around posting to forums or chatrooms if you work online, they will just distract you from your work.

- Hi there! Nice lens! Don't give up on it. From what I read, new sites, blogs, etc., take 6 months to a year to really start earning. You can do it!
