About Us

Hello, everyone! We are new to Squidoo, so please bare with us. =)

Our goal is promote awareness while raising funds for various diabetes organizations. The creation of our site was inspired by Nicholas Jonas of the popular band the Jonas Brothers. Nick was diagnosed with type one diabetes in 2005 while on tour with his band. He never let his disease slow him down and he uses every chance he gets to encourage kids with diabetes and promote awareness.

The Nicholas Jonas Change for the Children Foundation is a charity Nick Jonas and his family created to support diabetes research. We are currently trying to get into contact with someone involved with the organization because we hope to one day be able to collect donations that would go directly to his cause.

Right now our website and our CafePress pages donate to the American Diabetes Association, but we are also expanding to promote donating to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. We are starting with this page. =) Any money made off of this page is donated to the JDRF.

Feel free to contact us at waitingonacure@gmail.com.

Thanks so much!

I have put together a lens called cyclebetes. Cyclebetes aims to become the biggest bike relay in the world, with all funds being raised going to the juvenile diabetes research foundation.
