So you want to get up on a wakeboard?
Wakeboarding is awesome, but it always seems like it takes people forever to get up and going. I'll share some tips that helped me get up and hopefully you too.
Keep Your Knees In, Wannabe Wakeboarder!
Wakeboarding tips.
Your board needs to be perpendicular so that it pushes against the water helping you get up. Let the rope pull you up and then gradually swing into normal riding position.
WARNING trying to switch whatever foot is forward may cause you to crash harsh. If you get up and find you don't have your best foot forward just let go and try again.
When you are good you'll be able to switch while riding. You may need your driver to slow down in order to pull this off.

Having a shorter rope will make it easier to get up. Rope length should be somewhere between 30 and 50 feet.
When you're getting up, the board will naturally swing towards the boat as you arise out of the water. Don't try to fight it and don't try to go into it, just go with the flow
Make sure you know what foot you want to go forward when you do get up.
