You really do need to take a little time to understand the Walt Disney World ticket pricing system. The cost of Disney tickets can add up but there are discounts available and trusted and safe ways to save money.
This guide to Disney World tickets will explain the difference between all the different choices including the Park Hopper and Water Park and Fun options. It will take you through step by step to help you decide which Disney World ticket is the best choice for you and your family. Disney World Park Tickets Explained
At first the Disney World Ticket System can seem complicated! But just break it down into steps and you will soon realize that it gets much easier to choose which is the right Disney ticket for you and your family.
Walt Disney World Base Ticket
Start with your base ticket and add on options if you need them.
You decide how many days you want to visit the four main Disney World parks - Magic Kingdom, Disney's MGM Studios, Animal Kingdom and EPCOT. Disney Magic Your Way tickets are available from 1 to 10 days.
Each Disney Magic Your Way Ticket is valid for 14 days from when it is first used. You can visit one park on each day. No Disney World ticket is ever transferable to another person. Yes, Disney World knows who you are - so don't even think about using someone else's ticket!
Here are the prices for the Disney World Base Tickets. As you will see the more days that you buy, the cheaper the per day cost gets.

As you see the more days you stay the cheaper the per day Disney World ticket price becomes.
So decide how many days you want to spend at the Disney Parks. Then move on to work out if you need any of the add on options.
The Disney Ticket Non Expiration Option
Every Base Disney World ticket expires 14 days after you first use it. You can add the non expiration option to your Base Ticket so that your unused days never expire.
Disney Water Park Fun and More
The base ticket only covers admission to the 4 main theme parks. If you want to visit Blizzard Beach,Typhoon Lagoon,Disney's Wide World of Sports or DisneyQuest you need another Disney ticket or you can add on the Water Park Fun and more option to your Base Ticket.
The cost for this option is a flat rate of $53.25 per ticket regardless of the number of days you have on the Base Ticket. The amount of visits to the Water Parks or Disney Quest depends on the number of days on your Magic Your Way Base Ticket. So a 2 Day Ticket with Water Park Fun and More will give you 2 visits to the Water Parks, a 4 Day will give you 4 visits and so on.
The Disney Park Hopper Ticket
The base ticket allows you to visit one Disney park each day. The Disney Park Hopper option lets you move from one park to another on the same day. So if you started in Animal Kingdom you could move to Magic Kingdom or one of the other 4 main parks, on the same day.
No matter how many days you have on your Base Disney World Ticket this option is a flat rate cost of $53.25 including tax. So it may be a good option for a 10 day ticket but not so great for a 2 day. Once again planning your Disney World vacation is the key - work out whether you think that you will move from one park to another. It does take time to transfer between parks - Disney World is huge - so work out if this is going to be the way your family wants to visit. Many people enjoy this option and always add it.
Remember that you can upgrade your Disney World ticket. So if you make a wrong choice you can always add on options later up to the day your ticket expires.

The best advice is to stay clear of buying a Disney World ticket from any source except an authorised ticket dealer or from Disney themselves.
Disney World tickets are non transferable. What does that mean? It means that the person who first uses a Disney World ticket through the turnstiles at the parks is the only one authorised to use it. So any that you buy from another source are likely to have been used before and could be worthless.
Also, if you buy from a non authorised source you have no way of knowing just how many days are left on the Disney World ticket - it may be worthless.
Just don't take any risks!
