Girls Just Wanna Have Fu-un

But girls,
They wanna have fu-un,
Oh,girls,just wanna have
That's all they really want.....
Some fun....

Here at Soul Food where lots of girls congregate, it is my experience that they just love to have fun. Where better to please the muse and make lists of all those gorgeous things you would like to have. Style Hive is just the place to gather a collection of your favourite bags, dresses, jewelry, shoes and home goods. It is a modern way of having a bit of a glory box, the bridal registry you never had and a list of those things loved ones can get you for those special occasions.

Discover Style Hive

Discover Style Hive

Style Hive promotes itself as a place which connects stylish people. Prominent members make bookmarks and hive regularly. The idea is to either lead the way in this manner or happily follow others, check out their hives and save some of the things in your own hive. You can then choose to just look and dream or you may actually want to purchase and sell things here.

You Style Hive Home Page

Check out Enchanteur's Hive

When you join Style Hive, like so many other social networks, you will be provided with a home page. This page shows the activity of the people who you have chosen to follow so that you can see their latest selections. It also provides the usual links, at the top of your page, where you can create your profile, make an avatar, look at your saves and wish lists, compliment the people you are following and so on.

The page also provides a URL which you can send to your friends so that they can find your hive on the internet and look at what you have saved. To test this out go to Enchanteur's Hive and click the Saves and Wish List link. You will be able to see what this Enchantress has stashed away in her hive.

Feel free to have a jolly good sticky beak and check to see who is following her, who has complimented her on her style and so on.

Reasons to Hive

Finding Friends, Styles, Things to Hive

To discover who is using Style Hive simply go the Style Hive's main page and check out the people who have hives here. You can click on 'People' or 'Popular Bookmarks'. Either way you will discover the option to 'Follow' someone. It has a bit of a stalker quality about it but it is all good fun and you can block people who are following you.

Follow people and if you like something they have displayed click 'Hive It'

Hive It

When you click on someone's bookmarked page you will see a range of options on the right hand side. You can 'Hive It', add it to your Wish List, blog it, send the link to a friend and so on. When you click 'Hive It' it does not feel like anything has happened but if you check your 'Saves' you will find the product saved in your hive.

To edit your own Hive you click Hive Edit and then you can add tags or delete an item. If you are hiving something you have found as a result of following them you can send them a compliment and build up your social network.

To Make A Wish List

Wish Lists Are fun. Just making a list of wish lists is fun in itself. Observe that E has made some wish lists with titles like 'Now You Know I Like This What Are You Going To Do About It'.

When you click the Wish List box you will find that it brings up the option of saving something under a list and you can always make more. Beats having everyone guess what you would like.

Create Characters and Narrative

Doesn't everyone only watch the Bold and the Beautiful and Days of Our Lives to watch the beautiful people and check out how stylish they are?

Well a writer, somewhere, someplace has had to compost and get inspiration in order to create sitcoms like this.

You can compost in Style Hive and create some characters here. You can make avatars and select things these people like to wear and own. Have fun filling out their profiles and set the design of the page according to what you think they like. Gradually a strong sense of character and style will emerge and you can pop these people in to your stories. How cool is that?

le Enchanteur's Hive
le Enchanteur is that magical, mysterious figure who leads people in to Lemuria. You can check out her style here.
Imogen Crest - Lemurian Hermit's Hive
It was actually the Lemurian Hermit who found Style Hive and told E about it. E told Heather and we all know what a mouth she is. The Lemurian Hermit, Imogen Crest, has filled her hive with lots of great things. Check out her 'green' finds.
Wryd Spirit
Wyrd Spirit travelled with Enchanteur so it is not surprising to find that she now has followed her lead and has a hive.
Lori Gloyd
I always knew Lori Gloyd, of In To The Blue and Taverna di Muse fame, had good taste but now I have visited her hive I can tell everyone just what good taste she does have.
Genece Hamby
Genece just loves to have fun and she has fun in style in her hive.
