A story idea from the mind of Jaime D. Buckley in 1990 took him on a unique journey, from weekly dreams to story telling adventures with his ten children, the adventures of Wendell P. Dipmier grew and solidified. First as a free-thought story to tuck the children in at night, to ideas which woke him from sleep, Jaime started writing down the notes, the ideas and the histories of people long forgotten and far far away. Volumes of books were filled with pictures, sketches and notes of customs, races, plants, animals, geography and religions. At the center, an unlikely hero which could relate to any child ever born on our world.

Started 'officially' online in Feb. 2005, WANTED:HERO went from less than 20 visitors the first month, to over 750,000 visitors for the year of 2005. Since that time, 'un-official' counts show more than a million downloads of the limited 13 eComic series, which ceased after Jaime lost the fine motor functions of his hands, but downloads continue to occur from around the globe to this day.
In August 2009, the Buckley's lost their home of 33 years (where his wife grew up) and moved the family of 13 into a 3 room basement apartment. The children continued to encourage their father to focus his efforts on the writing of the new Wanted Hero Chronicles, so that children, youth and adults could enjoy the full, unaltered story of Wendell P. Dipmier, which has delighted thousands of children over nearly two decades.

Jaime Buckley has been a cartoonist, writer and teacher for over 20 years, and loves working with youth. He has been married to his best friend Kathilynn since 1990 and together have ten, amazing, wonderful children. They live in a snug basement apartment in Bluffdale, Utah, where Jaime continues to write the full story of Wanted Hero. Jaime can be contacted by emailing here.

WHAT ARE PEOPLE SAYING ABOUT WANTED:HERO?

"Jaime Buckley is a creative superfreak! He writes amazingly funny and twisted stories. His characters rock (especially Green)! As for his artwork... it's fresher and more startling than a newborn mutant. For those still in doubt, I have just four words: BUY HIS GRAPHIC NOVEL!"
--DC Green, author of Erasmus James & the Galactic Zapp Machine.

"WANTED: HERO" is a terrific comic by a talented writer illustrator, Jaime Buckley. Wendell, the all-too human hero in question, has his roots in some of the best characters of classic Eerie and Creepy comics, and yet stands on his own fresh and original feet. Anyone who loves comics will welcome Buckley's creation and want to follow him frame by gripping frame through all his adventures."
--Popular International Writer, Barry Eisler

"Jaime Buckley's innovative on-line approach to the action comic genre is a fantastic ride. Once I started reading and experiencing it, and it is indeed an experience, I couldn't stop. It's a real page turner, or rather, scroll downer, if you will. The art captures the story's drama, humor, and even the mood. And you're not reading it in a small box. Each frame fills the entire screen from corner to corner. Get yourself a 19-inch monitor and subscribe to WANTED:HERO, now."
--Author, Loren Christensen

"Buckley's creation is bound to endear itself to anyone who reads it and has at least a little bit left of being a kid inside of them.

Who didn't want to be a great wizard or warrior in some fantasy land, but ended up realizing we weren't up to saving the real world. Well, neither is the main character of this story ... but he is all they have to work with, so he'll have to do!

Not only does Wanted Hero weave a fun tale, but it does so with fantastic artwork. So if you have a hankering to immerse yourself in a fantasy world - dive right in and buy a copy. I did, and its scarecly sat on the shelf since - with friends and family wanting to look at or borrow it."
--Bonnie Nuttall
