Warcraft Class: Shaman

Shaman are another combination class but with distinct features that let them shine. Designed as a sort of alternative Paladin, a shaman can fight, heal, and cast like the best of them, but at the same time.

And then there are the totems, group AOE effects based on dropped items that can hinder and opponent, do damage, draw aggro, or heal and protect a group. Shaman were the bane of the Alliance in the battlegrounds for quite some time, though that's changed lately...

. Cleansing Totem: No longer pulses instantly when dropped.

. Flame Shock: The duration of all ranks has been increased by 6 seconds.

. Lava Burst: This ability no longer ever consumes a Flame Shock debuff off of the target.

. Talents -> Elemental Combat -> Shamanism: Your Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning spells gain an additional 3/6/9/12/15% and your Lava Burst gains an additional 4/8/12/16/20% of your bonus damage effects.

. Talents -> Enhancement -> Earthen Power: No longer causes Earthbind to pulse a persistent snare immunity aura. It does still remove snares from allies as an instant pulse, but there is no lingering immunity. Earthen Power now also brings Earth Shock's melee attack speed reduction up to -15%/-20% (with 1 or 2 points in it, respectively).

Elemental Shaman are casters. You drop your totems, cast spells, and shock the living daylights out of your target. Seems like a pretty sweet deal, though you have a tendency to be less effective in combat, granted, shocks make up for that much of the time.

Elemental Shaman are great for groups, some PvP, and okay at solo grinding. Play the, like a caster and you'll be in for a treat.

Enhancement Shaman are all about melee damage and they can run with the best of them. The whole goal of this spec tree is to make your fighting ability more and more badass.

Enhancement is okay for groups, but it really shines in PvP and solo grinding. Combined with some totems, this build is great for cutting do your enemies in a swath of red.

Restoration shaman are good at healing in a pinch. Most of the time, not quite as effective as a priest, but still pretty balanced overall at the healing gig, so it's a decent alternative to playing a priest.

Great for groups, good for PvP raids, but less effective at solo grinding, restoration is truly the soft side of this class.
