WoW's Version Of A Blitzkrieg

Blazing steel and hot blood twist and turn to form the warrior and his ilk.  Sometimes lofty in honor and other times capable of the most treacherous acts, warriors have garnered attention from all places for their abilities to take immense damage and still dish out the punishment.

Often times known as the "Tank" of a group, a warrior can prove in just a few fell swoops that power is still a relative concept.  One does not always need magic to win the day.

A Primer In Beating People Up

War For Fun And Profit 101

Warriors are a given in many games. The objective is usually the same as well, beat people up, take their lunch money, kill them if you have to. The warrior class in WoW is no exception, though it does tend to differ in the methods you can use.

To start with, warriors use a lot of different weapons classes, they get tougher armor (mail and then plate), and they can take a serious beating. So naturally, they get to be the "Tank" of the group, gathering the aggro of a particular target and wailing away on it until nothing remains.

Warriors also get particular talent tress that help them improve either their technique, skill at arms, or better use of Rage (Warriors equivalent to mana).

If you like having cool armor, surviving fights, starting fights, bigger than average weapons when you get higher, and having an all around good time killing your enemies, the warrior class is calling.

Talent Specs

Go Ahead, Give It Your Best Shot.

Talent Spec: Arms

Efficiency Through Anger Management

Arms spec is all about making your fighting efficiency go up. From increasing rage and that rates that it's generated plus decreasing the amounts needed for specific skills, you take the fight to your opponent and keep it that way.

Arms is an excellent PvP spec and is useful in a large number of situations as this spec really likes to use the big two handed weapons to do a serious amount of damage.

Talent Spec: Fury

Dual Wield Crazy

Fury is a popular choice for PvP and PvE players alike. It specializes in dual wield styles weapons and allows a player to spam out attacks at a high level. The goal is to kill your enemy quickly and move onto the next one before your rage drops.

Fury spec does good in both grinding and PvP, though in groups, a fury warrior might end up doing off-DPS for many encounters. That being said, fury warriors can dish out the pain, so it's worth looking into.

Talent Spec: Protection

Like Being A Giant Shield...

Protection warriors are all about staying alive. In fact, this is what they do. And they are damn good at it. Protection warriors are often the tank of choice for groups and larger raids because of their ability to take a beating and keep going.

While you might not do too much in the damage department, protection is worth getting into if you want to do a lot of group work or maybe make someone angry in PvP (Why won't he die?!?).

What Type of Warrior Are You?

Kick Ass, Go Beserk, Or Defend The Helpless?

From the above talent specs, one could surmise that the warrior is indeed, not nearly as bland as some people think. So, what'll it be? Kill or defend? Be honorable or cruel?
