The Warrior Forum - Your key to Internet Marketing Success
Hello! Steve Mount here... welcome to my lens!
This lens is designed as a gateway into the Warrior Forum, the #1 Internet marketing forum on the 'net! The content and value available in the Warrior Forum is second to none. So, to start your IM career right, you'll definitely want to register and become a member of this incredible resource.
But before you visit the forum, check out some of these helpful Internet marketing tips to help you start off your IM career with a bang!
I guarantee you will not be a newbie for long!
Internet Marketing 101
The newbies guide to Internet marketing
Information Overload!
You are going to be slapped with so much content including theories, formulas, guides, top ten lists, acronyms (PLR, MRR, WSO, IM), special offers and more, that you're going to be hitting the tylenol bottle every 4 hours trying to resolve the biggest headache you have ever had!
But here's the point... keep focus on what you want to achieve. You'll get the urge to sway from project to project searching for an easier way to make money as you learn more from the Warriors. This will ultimately hurt you more than help you! Keep your eyes on the prize, find a great niche, and reach your goals.
What is a niche?

A niche is your main focus of whatever product or idea your promoting. For example, if you want to sell books about potty training your cat, you'd fit well into the animal training niche. Or maybe you're going to write a book on how to deal with stress... you'd then be focusing on the stress management niche.
Whatever niche you choose, there are a few things you'll want to be sure of.
1. Make sure that you become the expert on the topic. You need to be the authority when people are seeking information about your specific niche. If I want to learn how to potty train my cat, I want to think of your product when it comes to expert advice and information!
2. Make sure your niche is focused on a particular area, instead of the entire broad topic. For example... if you plan to focus on art in general, you're competing with the National Gallery of Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and hundreds of millions of other sites. But if you focus on palette knife painting, you'll be in a category with much less competition. You can get even more detailed by getting involved in a "palette knife painting for experts" niche. The more focused your niche is, the more targeted customers you'll get.
Narrowing down your niche is the only way you'll get a good listing at the search engines... and, to be found online, search engine placement is key.

Top Ten Tips for Newbies
Each tip has been contributed by a member of the Warrior Forum!
Tip #1 - Don't quit your day job!Submitted by: Brian Cook
You'll want to be sure that you achieve your objectives before you make the decision of quitting your normal job. If your goal is to supplement your annual income in under 6 months, then make sure you achieve that goal! The motivation to quit your normal 9-5 job will come naturally!
Tip #2 - No amount of reading will convert to any amount of dollars and vice versa. No amount of making websites will produce any amount of knowledge
Submitted by: Cameron May
Don't chase every money making idea you see - read them and take them with a grain of salt. Don't start a project until you can do every part yourself, or understand what really needs to be done on the part that you've outsourced.
Tip #3 - Take Action
Submitted by: Naithan
The best tip I heard since the start of my IM career is: Take Action! If you never take action and wait for the perfect idea to come to your head, you will never get there. Not only because it will take a long time (if not forever) to let that idea develop. Once you have the idea you still have no experience!
Tip #4 - Always Do Your Research First
Submitted by: George Chernikov
Just because you have a great idea for a product doesn't mean that there's demand for it. As the saying goes, whenever you have an idea that has never been done before, it's usually for two reasons - either because it's so novel or because it sucks so badly that no one would touch it with a barge-pole.
So, before you start advertising your membership site or before you even so much as pen the first sentence of your e-book, go do your keyword research. There are many sites where you can do it for free (for example, http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com). Make sure that there is actual demand for your intended product before you waste time and effort creating it.
You'll be surprised how much disappointment you'll save yourself by following this simple tip. Look, I know that keyword research isn't pretty. It's dull, it's boring, and, if you're an artistic personality like me, it goes against the whole concept of creating something. However, if you don't do it first, then there's a pretty good chance that your masterpiece will be appreciated only by you and your pet (and that's if your bribe the latter with snacks).
Tip #5 - Stick to One Project at a Time
Submitted by: Alan Petersen
Don't become a fad jumper. Jumping from one "money-making" product to the next. Complete one project before moving to the next.
Tip #6 - Learn to outsource as quickly as possible.
Submitted by: Christopher R Everson
You aren't in this game to work 70 hour weeks! Check out websites such as Elance.com to find other people ready to work for you!
Tip #7 - Take Your Time and be Patient
Submitted by: MikeRogers
When just starting out in Internet Marketing, remember that Rome wasn't built in a day, nor did you graduate high school a week after you started the first grade. As with anything, learning to make money on-line takes time and study. Be prepared to put in the time and be patient with yourself.i>
Tip #8 - Start Building an E-mail List
Submitted by: Steve Mount
Start building that list, now. Shell out the 17 bucks a month and purchase a subscription to an autoresponder service, and start building your list. If you can get ten opt-ins a day, (and that's more than easy), in 3 years you'll have a list that could easily make you a thousand dollars a week. Imagine if you were getting 50 opt-ins a day!
I use and recommend Aweber.
Tip #9 - Believe In Yourself
Submitted by: William R Brandenburg
It is very important in life and business to have goals set and taking the proper steps to achieve them. But if you do not believe in yourself it is near impossible to obtain those goals and dreams.
The most important person to your success is yourself. A person should believe in who they are and what they can accomplish. The best way to do that is to continually fill your mind with knowledge and seek out what is good and true.
Tip #10 - Build Relationships
Submitted by: Steven Wagenheim
This is easy to do. Do NOT approach people for Vs. Contact them and say, "Hey, how can I help you? No strings attached." You'll be surprised how many friends you make that way. I won't do any name dropping here because that's just tacky, but I have made a lot of friends this past year with some big names because I went out of my way to do something for them. Not all turned into JVs, but these people will remember my generosity. Give and you will get.
