Voter Fraud is Rampant

Do people honestly believe they can get away with all this voter regristration fraud - signing up and casting ballots in the name of their pets (both living and dead), cartoon characters, desceased people, fictional movie and TV personalities? Hundreds and thousands of them!

The tragedy is that they have gotten away with tens of thousands of fraudlent voter registration plus voting by absentee ballot, for a few years now.

Although recently a hundred-plus cases are going on for voter registration fraud, it is likely that there are twice or three times that number who have never been charged, as yet. Some of the cases involve from several hundred up to several thousand per case.

When an election is so close that less than 100 votes can win or lose an election - how then can thousands of illegal votes just be thrown to the wind and forgotten. Sounds to me like the instituion has been turned over to the inmates and there is complete mahem, with noone being held accountable. Even a child knows that doesn't work.

Who will stand up and DO something to fix the problem instead of contributing to it? I think we need a miracle, because the human factor has clearly failed!

Road to Election Heats Up

An Editorial comment from a Native American - Proud-To-Be-American

Does truth matter? Or should it be swept under the proverbal rug, only to raise it's ugly head another day... when it's too late to turn back the hands of time?

Americans need to pay attention and take into account the future of this nation.

Who will YOU place your life in the hands of? That's what it boils down to. You are placing your life, and the life and future of your loved ones, into the hands of who ever you vote for, their idealisms, their close associations, and their life experiences and track record that contributed to who they are.

What has propelled them to the position of candidate for president of the United States - Thoughts of glory for them selves and their friends, or thoughts of making the nation a better and safer place? Do they have a history of self promotion, or of self-sacrifice for America?

Are they really proud to be Americans, or do they continually show disrespect and disregard for America and all that is good and right in America?

Do they proudly demonstrate their love of America in word and deed, and the show respect for the US flag, Pledge Allegiance to the flag, And to the Republic for which it stands - One Nation, Under God, Indivisible, With Liberty and Justice for all ; or do they boldly, publically, defiantly, DIS the US flag and all that it stands?

Citizen, YOU get to decide your future, and the future of America. VOTE! And then, Live with your decision, for better or for worse.

Native Paddle Design

Paddle carved by Ben Charles, Sr.

Ben Charles, Sr. carved this paddle in 1993. It is hand carved from white cedar. This paddle is larger than most that are typically used on the Native Canoe Journey participants. It is more the size used by the canoe Skipper to steer the canoe.

This is the same shape and design that has been in use for countless ages by the Indigenous people of the coatal and island regions of the Pacific Northwest.

Although a certain non-native individual has recently claimed to "own a copyright" on these Native Indigenous paddle designs, that would be completely impossible, unless the man is more than a thousand years old. He faces legal repercussions from the Tribal attorneys for his arrogant claims.

Awareness and Prevention of Substance Abuse

Affecting Your Home, Family, Community

Drug and Alcohol Abuse is Rampant, yet too few know the signs or how to get help before it's too late.

Whether you are a parent or friend of someone who is using dangerous substances (such as drugs, alcohol, household products or other substances), or perhaps you are the user, there is help available.

Stigma and shame are reduced by recognizing that the issue is universal and appears in every layer of society. Like a broken leg needs proper repair, substance users need proper help for recovery and healing to happen.

Although certain age and social levels may provide higher risk factors, there certainly are no exemptions in humanity to the possibility of drug, alcohol, and other substance use and abuse.

It is also true that substance abuse causes harm to both the users, and the family and community around them.

Thousands of lives are ruined and deaths are caused each day by the trafficing of illegal drugs and the mis-use of prescription drugs and household products.

It is time to be Be Aware, Be Pro-Active, and Help Stop the Damage to individuals, families and communities caused by substance abuse.

Below are several helpful website resources to use and share.

Prevention is Best. But, There Is Help for all who forgot to "Think Twice and Say NO!" to trying that first one which led to an addiction!

Substance abuse is preventable. Parents are much more powerful than we think. Kids who learn about drug risks from parents are only half as likely to start using. Pro-Active Parenting is Key to Prevention.

Prevention of drug use could be carried out before ever using drugs as primary prevention or as secondary prevention for individuals using drugs, but still not in the state of dependence. Tertiary prevention as the prevention of hazards of drug use beside treatment and rehabilitation is usually approached distinctly.

Taxpayer-funded ad campaigns:

Taxpayer-funded ad campaigns:

Use of tax dollars to fund commercials for veterans and commercials that benefit Eastern Washington farmers has brought Gov. Gregoire under close watch by state Republicans.

For reasons such as this the Republicans tried to pass a bill that would eliminate elected officials from using taxpayer dollars for blatant commercial campaigning. Democrats killed the bill.
