Public Interest In the Wasilla Assembly of God
The Wasilla Assembly of God has become much more than just an odd church in a small village in Alaska. The church is where Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin grew up, and though Palin has moved to Juneau, she still visits the church several times a year.
Sarah Palin says that God has a plan that includes public policies such as the war in Iraq and fossil fuel pipelines. Sarah Palin says that witch hunter Thomas Muthee spiritually anointed her as Governor at the Wasilla Assembly of God church. On June 8, 2008, Sarah Palin made a pledge to work with the church as Governor of Alaska to see that "God's will be done".
These public connections between Sarah Palin's governmental agenda and the religious agenda of the Wasilla Assembly of God make the church an essential part of the public debate in the presidential election of 2008.
Yet, the Wasilla Assembly of God is trying to cover up for Sarah Palin, hiding its history with her and its current unusual practices from public view. Journalist David Talbot says of the church, "Pastor Ed Kalnins warned his congregation not to talk with any journalists who might have been lurking in the pews -- and directly warned this reporter not to interview any of his flock."
The American voters need to know what Pastor Kalnins is trying to hide.

Will The Wasilla Assembly Of God Release Its Sermons?
As soon as the vice presidential nomination of Sarah Palin was announced, her church, the Wasilla Assembly of God, removed all audio and video recordings of the sermons given while Palin was attending the church from its web site. Will the Wasilla Assembly of God church come clean, stop the cover up, and release for public viewing the recordings of the sermons that Palin saw?
