Watch Changeling Online and discover the new drama brought to you by Clint Eastwood. Clint Eastwood directs Angelina Jolie and John Malkovich in a provocative drama based on actual events: The Changeling. In the film, Christine Collins' (Jolie) prayers are met when her kidnapped son is returned. But amidst the frenzy of the photo-op reunion, she realizes this child is not hers. Facing corrupt police and a skeptical public, she desperately hunts for answers, only to be confronted by a truth that will change her forever.

Los Angeles, 1928: On a Saturday morning in a working-class suburb, Christine said goodbye to her son, Walter, and left for work. When she came home, she discovered he had vanished. A fruitless search ensues, and months later, a boy claiming to be the nine-year-old is returned. Dazed by the swirl of cops, reporters and her conflicted emotions, Christine allows him to stay overnight. But in her heart, she knows he is not Walter.

As she pushes authorities to keep looking, she learns that in Prohibition-era L.A., women don't challenge the system and live to tell their story. Slandered as delusional and unfit, Christine finds an ally in activist Reverend Briegleb (Malkovich), who helps her fight the city to look for her missing boy. Based on the actual incident that rocked California's legal system, Changeling tells the shocking tale of a mother's quest to find her son, and those who won't stop until they silence her.

Watch Changeling Online Starring JASON BUTLER HARNER

Portrays Gordon Northcott

Harner completed filming for Changeling in December 2007. He plays Gordon Stewart Northcott, a mechanic accused of murder. Harner described his character as "a horrible, horrible, wonderful person." Samuel Blumenfeld of Le Monde called the scene featuring Northcott's execution by hanging "unbearable" due to Eastwood's attention to detail, saying "There is no more convincing plea against the death penalty." Eastwood said that for a supporter of capital punishment, Northcott was an ideal candidate: "In a perfect world, the death penalty might be the appropriate response to such a murderer." But he said that "Whether you're for or against the death penalty, you must recognize that there is something barbaric in making the execution public." Eastwood argued that in putting the guilty party before the families of his victims, "justice" may be done, but after such a spectacle, "what tranquillity can [the family] hope to find?" The scene's realism was deliberate: the viewer hears the sound of Northcott's neck breaking, his body swings, and his feet gesticulate. Eastwood said, "I know it's unbearable to watch, and that was the desired effect."

He is recently appeared in the HBO miniseries, John Adams as Oliver Wolcott, Jr., the second United States Secretary of the Treasury. Harner had a guest role on the pilot for Fringe, which premiered September 9, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. ET on FOX.
