The show has been heavily criticized-almost since its debut-by police and district attorneys, who feel CSI portrays an inaccurate image of how police solve crimes, and by the Parents Television Council, who note the level and gratuitousness of graphic violence, images and sexual content seen on the show. It's true that networks can't get enough of the forensic crime thrillers, but CSI stands out because of the diversity of the characters. The ebullient quirkiness of Grissom combined with the dogged, sometimes jaded persistence of his crew (including Marg Helgenberger, George Eads, and Gary Dourdan) remains cracklin' good.

- The ninth season begins with Grissom discovering Warrick shot in his car after the Undersheriff reports witnessing the shooting and points the team to a rogue cop.
- S09E02 The Happy Place
- Nick and Catherine investigate why a woman who was about to be married would have taken a swan dive off of her balcony and suspect that a hypnotist who robs banks may be involved while Grissom investigates the brutal murder of a woman found in an alley.
- S09E03 Art Imitates Life
- The team investigates the murder of a woman found in the park posed to recreate life and a string of murders follows with the same pattern. An artist becomes one of the suspects when they find out he has his models pose as dead bodies for his pictures.
- S09E04 Let it Bleed
- It's Halloween and Nick and Riley witness a man dressed as a cop rob a convenience store and then must help the team investigate the death of the daughter of a major drug lord which leads them to a seedy club where Catherine finds Lindsey on the dance floor.
- S09E05 Leave Out All the Rest
- A body is found out in the desert and the guy's girlfriend is missing. After discovering needle marks on the victim's body Grissom turns to Lady Heather for help when he realizes that the needle marks are a form of S&M.
- S09E06 Say Uncle
- The CSI team investigates a shooting at a Koreatown neighborhood party, in which the mother and uncle of a small boy, Park Bang, are murdered.
- S09E07 Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda
- The CSI teams investigates the death of a woman, married to a man who committed murder twelve years ago. In the meantime, the fate of Natalie Davis is being decided...
- S09E08 Young Man with a Horn
- A plummeting actor is found dead in his home with a broken wine bottle shoved in the back of his head.

I have been there from the very beginning, based on Peterson's riveting performance in "Manhunter". Killing off Warrick was only the latest in a series of turn-offs and dumb moves. Gary was my favorite character on the show, and with him gone, Peterson leaving, Fox gone, it can't possibly be the same CSI! I was very disappointed that they didn't let Gary be in the hospital for awhile, rehab., and then come back to the show after he has finished his rehab for drugs!!!

CSI vs. CSI Miami vs. CSI NY
Although the plots are similar and the format is similar, I believe that CSI is far superior to CSI Miami and CSI NY. The reason? Characters. The characters on the original show are real people (more or less), idiosyncratic and identifiable. The characters on the spinoff are ciphers. No personality. Nothing that distinguishes one from the other.

definetly CSI cause i think all of the other ones are the same thing just in a different city/town. Plus the actors on the original CSI(especially George Eads and William Peterson) are like amazing and totally top any of the others.

But i dont have the channels so i cant watch it regulary, i have to buy the seasons, which is a bit gay but worth it! i dont mind CSI Miami & NY but they really annoy me. Just everything about the plots, evidence.. charactors. Especially in CSI Miami Horaccio.. He wears his goofy glasses inside! Not as cool as Grissom!! So yeah I LOVE CSI LAS VEGAS. i dont hate miami n NY but its nothing compared to the real deal! xx

Nothing can be compared to CSI! My love from the first sight ! I learned to like CSI:Miami and CSI: NY but it was a really long way 'cause the first time I saw Miami & NY I absolutely hated it and was really annoyed with characters, plot and a number of mistakes that I could see. Now I like it but still nothing is better than CSI Las Vegas !!!

I watch almost all series and all seasons for all the three CSI.I never got bored to them eventhough its a back to back or a repeat showcase on TV.I watch CSI since it first aired on TV in 2002, felt like I have been in close relationship with all the characters. When Warrick was murdered I felt as if one of the CSI family member was taken away from them.The best TV series ever..after the infamous X-Files series..
