I was musing today about dichotomies in entertainment, and how there are almost always two vastly different sides to anything. I happen to be watching quite a bit of TV medical dramas these past couple of months, and always find myself comparing the current dichotomy of House and Grey's Anatomy. When it comes to snappy banter, House wins whereas Grey's compensates wtih voiceover narration. Where House is flippant and glib, Grey's is warm and irresistibly cuddly.
So, House and Grey's Anatomy are having a bit of rivalry... whose side are you on??

HOUSE was better...lot of brilliant surface views of distinct conditions.....and It really helped me (Im a senior medical student) lately it has been mostly towards the drama side of things...I really liked seasons 1-3 and a bit of 4...but not 5...5 WAS TOTALLY DRAMA...
its good to see that season 6 is on track in terms...medical attention....drama is still there...dnt get me wrong...the drama is good....but..I like the medicine part of it more.....
sometimes...It feels like im in the room...thinking of differential diagnosis ....

Grey's Anatomy doesn't have as much of a mystery for me. I enjoy House MD, it brings the mystery and the handsome/Sarcastic/emotional Gregory House. No one looks at him as emotional but throughtout the entire show he's had his moments. I love the character and I love how Hugh brings House to life. Where as Grey's Anatomy just doesn't compare.. it doesn't have the bang that House MD has.

That, and House is way more interesting and actually focuses on both the characters and medicine, unlike Grey's which only focuses on relationships.

At the moment I am on House's side but if Thirteen is still on the show and has not been fired or she has not died then I might have to change and go over to Grey's Anatomy because I think Thirteen spoils the show and is not a good actress! But the characters created in house and not just house are simply real as in real life real not romance soap operas real and even if they werent that real they are genial in every detail :P
