Charlie wants Mac to beat up the waitress' unknown new boyfriend. Trouble is, Mac is the boyfriend. A hurt Dennis tries to convince Charlie that only he can be the rue best friend after the title was bestowed to Mac.

After Mac's revenge-obsessed father is released from prison, Mac and Charlie fake their deaths to save their lives. Meanwhile, Frank and Dennis go inside the world of having anonymous sex when they discover a glory hole in one of the bathroom stalls.

The gang kidnaps a newspaper critic after he calls Paddy's "the worst bar in Philadelphia". Then, during their attempts to cover up their tracks, end up kidnapping the critic's neighbor and cat.

Dennis plans on publishing an account of his sexual exploits, as Mac and Frank persuade him to recreate some of the more dubious ones. Meanwhile, Charlie and Dee try on each other's lives for size.

S04E10 Sweet Dee Has A Heart Attack

After Dee is hospitalized for a heart attack, she and Dennis try to adopt a healthier lifestyle. Charlie and Mac take on corporate jobs in order to receive health insurance.

The gang fudge history by claiming that Paddy's Pub was responsible for cracking the Liberty Bell (and the legend of the Headless Horseman) in an attempt to turn their dive into a Philadelphia landmark.

S04E12 The Gang Gets Extreme: Home Makeover Edition

The gang give an extreme home makeover to an ill-fated family, as they hope to receive good karma in return so that their own dreams will come true.

S04E13 The Nightman Cometh

In the season finale, Charlie writes a musical based on the song he composed in "Sweet Dee is Dating a Retarded Person" that the entire gang partakes in performing.
