CW, the official broadcast network for the Gossip Girl show, aired the Season 1 pilot on September 19, 2007. However, the series made its first debut on CTV Canada a day before the pilot was broadcasted. When Serena comes back form her mysterious disappearance at the Connecticut boarding school, she was not welcomed by her best friend Blair Waldorf who has just assumed the Queen Bee position herself. Sex comes into play which was introduced by Nate who admitted that he had sex with Serena. After that admission, relationship between Nate and Blair goes sour. The show is filled with relationship building, breakups, and sex. Serna then falls for Dan and their relationship started to grow where Blair breaks up with Chuck. Not being able to deal with Serena's lies, Dan breaks up with Serena. The Finale ends with showing scenes of summer which implies that Chuck and Blair were still going steady.

Season 2 of Gossip Girl has just started. As mentioned above, Season 2 first show was aired on September 1, 2008 which managed to get a whooping 3.5 million viewers and is set to have a total of 24 episodes.

Dan has spent the summer assisting a famous author, but decides to head to the Hamptons to see how things stand with Serena after a summer spent apart. While interning for Eleanor Waldorf's company, Jenny sneaks an invite to a much-coveted Hamptons' White Party at which Eric introduces her to socialite Tinsley Mortimer."
