The cast of Gossip Girl (love!)
Gossip Girl vs. The O.C.
Debuting to much fanfare, Gossip Girl was derided by O.C. fans as being a clone of the recently canceled series. Apparently they had not forgiven creator Josh Schwartz for killing off Marissa Cooper. But for a change in locale, the series characters showed striking similarities to their west coast counterparts. But in the end it will be ultimately up to the fans to decide which show is the smartest teen soap opera.
So., what is the better show in this matchup? Gossip Girl or The O.C.?
Fetching blurbs now... please stand byGossip Girl
The O.C.
Nadine says:
After watching the first season of GG, I have to say that TOC rules GG. The OC dealt with real issues, whereas GG is an excuse to glorify the excesses of rich beautiful New Yorkers as being glamorous.

Soooo much fun. I really love this show, every week I tune in for it. The Chuck & Blair storyline has been going on for some time now but it's not boring since they have such good on screen chemistry. The actors are perfectly cast. I really recommend this show to anybody who isn't watching it already cause you're really missing out.
