When I stumbled upon this website, I immediately loved the concept of using words as a simple way to focus your energy or using "positive words and images to inspire your inner journey."
The concept is simple. The crystal clear cling Water Blessing Labels created by the Spirit of Water company can be placed on containers of water or other fluids.
The thought is that by placing water labels on water sources you are focusing your energy on that emotion or concept, be it "healing," "love" or "attraction."
According to the company:

As a physician I could see the potential for enhancing healing especially in the hospital and other medical settings. and turn water or medicine into a liquid blessing for the patient and also for the family members.

Using Water Blessing Labels in the NICU setting
After reading the comments by a chemotherapy nurse who used the labels on her patients' I.V.s I could immediately see how these labels could be used in the NICU setting to support NICU Parents and NICU Babies.I know that if the water blessing labels had been available at the time, I would have asked the NICU staff put them on my daughter's I.V. fluids and I would have used them to decorate her isolette. I would have picked words from the Healing Medicine and Personal Growth sets words like "love," "healing," "trust," "courage," "guidance," "strength," "health" and "body wisdom").
I wasn't the only one with this idea. Here's one of the testimonials that I found for using the blessing labels also in the NICU:

Letting Patients, Parents and Love Ones "Do Something"
One of my greatest frustration in being a NICU Parent was the helplessness and the feeling that I was not able to contribute anything to my daughter's care. The inability to do anything, to contribute to my daughter's care medically as a physician or emotionally to hold her hand and pacify her as a mother was indescribably frustrating.What I did to feel less frustrated was searching out ways to participate in her healing process. We used several different additional modalities--music, blessings and touch--when my daughter was in the NICU. These were things that I thought to bring in as part of a more Integrative Approach to care, a way that I could participate in her care and enhance her treatment.
Using the Water Healing Labels as decorations for her isolette, on medications that were being used and on water bottles (mirrors, car windows) would have been another way for ourselves and other family members to participate in her care and treatment.
Many of these ways of helping a NICU baby that we used (music, blessing, touch therapy) have since been shown in research studies to have positive benefits with NICU babies.
Using these different modalities was a way of "doing something." If nothing else, as long as the treatment is not harming the baby, I think letting parents 'do something' to actively participate in their child's care is very important.

Using high-speed photography, Dr. Masaru Emoto discovered that crystals formed in frozen water reveal changes when specific, concentrated thoughts are directed toward them.
He found that water from clear springs and water that has been exposed to loving words shows brilliant, complex, and colorful snowflake patterns.
The Effects of Distant Intention on Water Crystal Formation
A Double-Blind Test
- The hypothesis that water "treated" with intention can affect ice crystals formed from that water was pilot tested under double-blind conditions. A group of approximately 2,000 people in Tokyo focused positive intentions toward water samples located inside an electromagnetically shielded room in California. That group was unaware of similar water samples set aside in a different location as controls. Ice crystals formed from both sets of water samples were blindly identified and photographed by an analyst, and the resulting images were blindly assessed for aesthetic appeal by 100 independent judges.
Results indicated that crystals from the treated water were given higher scores for aesthetic appeal than those from the control water (P = .001, one-tailed), lending support to the hypothesis.

Dr. Emoto's work is so inspiring to me. I cannot express to you how wonderful it is to see another lens promoting his work. As for affirmations, I found some wonderful labels for my kitchen chairs. I made them all different, but my favorite is the one on our bench that says "Play With Your Food". It always encourages me personally to make our meals fun as well as nutritious!
