Easy Cinnamon Sticky Buns

A quick and easy recipe for sticky buns.

This is a quick and easy way to treat your guests or family to no yeast cinnamon rolls. It calls for refrigerated biscuits, if you prefer, you can make your own with this handy and healthier biscuit mix recipe.

Ingredients
1/3 cup/80 mL butter or margarine, melted, divided
1/2 cup/125 mL brown sugar
1/2 cup/125 mL chopped walnuts or pecans
1 tbsp/15 mL water
1/2 cup/125 mL sugar
1-1/2 tsp/7.5 mL Purest Ground Cinnamon
2 cans (10 oz/283 g) refrigerated regular or buttermilk biscuits

Cooking Directions: Combine 2 tbsp/30 mL melted butter, brown sugar, nuts, and water and place in bottom of a 10-inch/25-cm bundt pan. Mix sugar and cinnamon together. Dip each biscuit lightly into remaining melted butter, then into sugar/cinnamon mixture. Place each biscuit on end in bundt pan. Pinch tips or sides of biscuits slightly together, this helps prevent ring from falling apart when served. Bake at 400ºF/205ºC for 20 to 25 minutes. After baking; turn out on plate. Serve immediately.

Grilled Southwestern Pork Ribs

With Cinnamon Apple Barbecue Sauce

These spicey, southwestern grilled pork ribs with cinnamon-apple -BQ sauce will melt in your mouth.

Ingredients:
3-1/2 lbs/1.6 kg pork back ribs, cut into 2- to 3-rib portions
1/4 cup/60 mL Watkins Mesquite Barbecue Sauce Concentrate
1/4 cup/60 mL apple cider vinegar
Water, to cover

Barbecue Sauce Ingredients:
2/3 cup/160 mL apple jelly
1/2 cup/125 mL Watkins Mesquite Barbecue Sauce Concentrate
1/2 cup/125 mL ketchup
3/4 tsp/4 ml Watkins Cumin
1/2 tsp/2.5 ml Watkins Garlic Granules
1/4 tsp/1.2 ml Watkins Purest Ground Cinnamon
1/8 tsp/0.6 ml Watkins Cayenne Pepper

Cooking Directions
In large saucepan, combine first four ingredients. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, covered, 45 to 60 minutes or until ribs are tender.

Meanwhile, prepare the cinnamon apple barbecue sauce by combining all remaining ingredients in a medium saucepan. Cook and stir over medium heat until bubbly. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, about 15 minutes. Remove from heat and cool until ribs are done. This sauce keeps well in frigde for several month.

Grill ribs over medium coals for 15 to 20 minutes or until done, turning and brushing often with sauce.

Cinnamon The Sweet Baking Spice! 

Cinnamon Streusel Coffee Cake

Good any time of the day!

Ingredients
2 cups/500 mL all-purpose flour
1-1/4 tsp/6 mL Watkins Baking Powder
1 tsp/5 mL baking soda
1/2 tsp/2.5 mL salt
1/2 cup/125 mL butter or margarine, softened
1 cup/250 mL sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp/5 mL Watkins Original Double-Strength Vanilla
1 cup/250 mL sour cream

Streusel
1/3 cup/80 mL brown sugar
1/4 cup/60 mL sugar
1 tsp/5 mL Watkins Purest Ground Cinnamon
1 cup/250 mL chopped nuts

Cooking Directions: Combine first four ingredients; set aside. Cream butter; add sugar gradually, mixing until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition; stir in vanilla. Add the dry ingredients alternately with sour cream, mixing just enough after each addition to keep batter smooth. Spread half of batter in greased 8-inch/20-cm square baking dish. Combine streusel ingredients and sprinkle half of this mixture over batter. Top with remaining batter and streusel topping. Bake at 350ºF/180ºC for about 30 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool 5 minutes and remove cake from pan. Serve warm or cold.

Watkins Cinnamon Swirl Loaf

This smells great when baking and tastes even better when done.

Ingredients
1 cup/250 mL sour cream
1 tsp/5 mL baking soda
½ tsp/2.5 mL salt
½ cup/125 mL (1 stick) butter
1 cup/250 mL sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp/5 mL Watkins Original Double Strength Vanilla Extract
1 ¾ cup/325 mL flour
1 tsp/5 mL Watkins Baking Powder

Filling
½ cup/125 mL brown sugar
1 ½ tsp/7.5 mL Watkins Cinnamon

Cooking Directions: Combine sour cream and baking soda in small bowl; allow to work while mixing rest of loaf. Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients and mix alternately with sour cream into batter mixture. In a separate bowl, mix cinnamon and brown sugar filling. In a greased loaf pan, alternate a third of the batter mixture with a third of the filling; repeat. Swirl with knife. Bake at 350ºF/ 180ºC for 1 to 1 ½ hours.
