Wayne Rooney - the kid who holds no fear

Born 24 October 1985 in Liverpool, Wayne Rooney currently plies his trade at English Premier League club, Manchester United.

He is still seen as one of the most exciting prospects of the modern game AND his transfer fee from Everton still stands as the highest ever paid for a teenager.

Rooney was born in the eastern Liverpool urban area of Croxteth. A boyhood fan of Everton and eventually plying his trade with them,  he turn villain against the blues by demanding a transfer  to  Manchester United.

Perhaps the most memorable goal in his portfolio was THE goal that ended Arsenal's 30 match unbeaten run (which is in the video below). With the ball on the edge of the opponent's 18-yard box, Rooney brought the pass down with such delicate control for one his age (He was only 16!), turned his his marker before blasting it into the top left-hand corner of the goal.
