Biblical Evangelism is all about sharing the good news using the forgotten biblical principle of bypassing the intellect and speaking directly to the conscience, the way that Jesus did.
Jesus followed one simple pattern, Law to the Proud, Grace to the Humble. He used God's Law, the ten commandments to show people that they had offended God and deserved hell, but then, if they repented, He showed them what was required of them to have eternal life.

- Hollywood Be Thy Name
- In Hollywood Be Thy Name, author Ray Comfort takes on the entertainment industry. He encourages Christians to say no to blasphemy and idolatry and send Hollywood this message: "You have used blasphemy in this movie, and you're not getting my money at the box office."
- Street Preaching by C. H. Spurgeon
- I am persuaded that the more of open air preaching there is in London the-better, if it should become a nuisance to some it will be a blessing to others, if properly conducted. If it be the gospel which is spoken, and if the spirit of the preacher be one of love and truth, the results cannot be doubted: the bread cast upon the waters must be found after many days. At the same time it must be the gospel, and be preached in a manner worth the hearing, for mere noise-making is:in evil rather than a benefit.
- The Lost Key to Gospel Relevancy
- Today's evangelism is striving after new and innovative ways to make the Gospel seem more relevant to unbelievers. Churches invest endless effort, creativity, and dollars in new ways of packaging an age-old message, so that it will seem more useful to unchurched Harry and Mary. But is it possible that contemporary Christianity is missing a key biblical component that brings into focus the true relevancy of the Gospel? The answer to that question, is found in this 300+ year old illustration of a broom, some water, and a bunch of dust.
- "What Is That to You? You Follow Me! by John Piper
- Freed from Comparing by Blunt Words - After his resurrection from the dead, Jesus asked Peter three times if he loved him. He answered yes three times. Then Jesus told Peter how he would die-apparently by crucifixion. Peter wondered about how it would go with John. So he asked Jesus, "What about this man?" Jesus brushed off the question and said, "What is that to you? You follow me!" Jesus' blunt words-"None of your business, follow me"-are sweet to my ears. They are liberating from the depressing bondage of fatal comparing.
- Key Elements of Evangelism by Darrel Rundus
- Rules to Remember
Rules! Some people love and live by them and other people seem to always be looking for a way around them. Personally, I feel like a good rule can be a great guideline to live by especially when it comes to evangelism. I have developed a list of the things that are a constant reminder to me of what biblical evangelism is all about and what I need to do to effectively wage this war against the most evil enemy ever. - Momma's Not Gonna Like This by Christopher Barnette
- "If any of us were truly good in the manner in which God reckons goodness or if adherance to the law were capable of saving any man, then Christ's death on the cross was unnecessary and wasteful."
- Evangelist's Kryptonite by Darrel Rundus
- Most everyone knows that if you want to defeat the all-powerful DC comic book character
Superman; somewhere, sometime, somehow Kryptonite will come into play. This is the only weakness of the Man of Steel. Every Evangelist I know also has such a weakness. Pride is to the Evangelist what Kryptonite is to Superman. While pride is destructive to anyone and everyone, it's particularly a problem for most Evangelists. - Women Reach Out with 50,000 Tracts
- Despite opposition and threats of beatings, a team of seven women who are part of Gospel for Asia Women's Fellowship gave out 50,000 tracts at the Kumbh Mela festival earlier this year. Coming to the Ganges River in Uttar Pradesh, India, to dip in its "holy" waters, 60 million people attended the Kumbh Mela over six weeks in January and February. Many Hindus believe this pilgrimage will give them forgiveness of sins.
- Evangelist Challenges Atheists to Bible-Less Debate on ABC
- NEW YORK A prominent Christian best-selling author is asserting that he can prove the existence of God without using the Bible, and has challenged two atheists to a debate. Ray Comfort, author of God Doesn't Believe in Atheists, alongside fellow Christian and actor Kirk Cameron (Growing Pains) ...
Great Books I've Read
The Evidence Bible
The Evidence Bible with commentary by Ray Comfort incorporates the King James Version of the Bible slightly modified to reduce archaic words.. The best part of this Bible is the inclusion of excerpts and arguments aimed at a modern audience to help them to evangelize. I admit I was a little leery of the idea of the "Comfort-able" King James but have found the it is true to the original, with no changes in meaning, merely a more easily read version.
One Thing You Can't Do In Heaven
I couldn't put this book down. In a very easy to read style, Mark Cahill provides ideas for starting converations, examples of witnessing situations and answers to common questions. It's a book you'll return to often.
What Did Jesus Do? : A Call to Return to the Biblical Gospel
How did Jesus reach the lost? Why doesn't the modern church use the same method? This book shows how Jesus, Paul, Peter, John and Jude brought the lost to God. It's the same way that Spurgeon, Wesley, Whitefield, Moody and many more used. This book will help you to follow in the way of the Master Evangelist.
Hell's Best Kept Secret: With Study Guide
Ray Comfort boldly breaks away from modern tradition and calls for a return to biblical evangelism. If you're experienceing evangeliscal frustration over lost souls, unrepentant sinners, and backsliden "believers", you need to read this book.

- Spurgeon Quote
- A quote by Charles Spurgeon on the doctrine of election.
- Which of these is Not an Attribute of God? (evangelism tract)
- Which of these is NOT an attribute of God?
a. Holy
b. Righteous
c. Loving
d. Compromising - Spurgeon Sayings - Christ Crucified
- My friends, I do not believe it is preaching Christ and him crucified, to give our people a batch of philosophy every Sunday morning and evening, and neglect the truth of this Holy Book.
- Should Evangelists Question Professions of Faith?
- by Mark Dever
Sometimes I get the feeling that people think there's something wrong with questioning the reality of a profession of faith. It's legalistic, or judging, or holier than thou. Or something. But if evangelists want to see lost sinners saved, and if evangelists know that we sinners can deceive ourselves, then it's not surprising that we want to try to make sure (with all appropriate qualifications about our limitedness) that conversions professed are conversions possessed. - Spurgeon: A Recipe for Church Growth
- The question is asked in these times, "How are we to get the working-classes to listen to the word?
The answer is, Christ is his own attraction, Christ is the only trumpet that you want to trumpet Christ. Preach the gospel, and the congregation will come of themselves.
