It was a simpler time.... People were just different then. Ah yes, the 80's, Delorions, Huey Luis and the News, big hair, and Michael J. Fox. What movie could be more 80's-ish than Back To The Future, despite the fact that most of it takes place in 1955.
In case you have spent that last 15 years or so reading books or something, or perhaps you yourself are a time traveler from the past, The Hobbit'll give you the scoop on what this movie is about. Take one crazy mad scientist, played by Christopher Lloyd (and by the way, does anybody play a better mad scientist than him? Personally I suspect that in real life Christopher Lloyd runs a secret laboratory from his garage.) throw in one kid with a lousy family life and a typical 1985 attitude, shove em in a Delorion... and instead of having them smuggle drugs in it, send em back in time to the 50's... good plot right? But what if they also have to save the space time continuum? Voila! Now you have a classic movie.
Christopher Lloyd is a genius. I've never seen him in anything where I didn't enjoy watching him work... the rest of the movie may have been total garbage... say for example all the Disney crap he has been doing lately, but at least he is always interesting in his own odd, slightly mad way. I never get tired of watching Doc Brown running back and forth ranting "Great Scott!" His madness is a beauty to behold.
Look, I know, this movie is 15 years old, you've all seen it ten times and you think The Hobbit is wasting your time here, but trust me, get some friends together, get Back To the Future, heck while you're at it get the sequels too and I guarantee a good time. But if you have to get up and pee or get a fresh bag of cheese puffs or something do it during Back To the Future Part II, just don't do it when old Biff is smacking young Biff up side the head with his cane, cause sometimes some people just need a beating. source

Back To The Future has it all. In this film, Marty McFly overcomes all odds to correct past mistakes while at the same time trying not to alter the future. You will love this movie for its humor, nostalgia, wit, science fiction, and off the wall hilarity.

Back To The Future I love the three films made about this subject and also the actor Michael J. Fox. These films are realistic believable and above all great fun to watch. Being a number one fan of Doctor Who the Best British Sci-Fi series ever written all credits to Terry Nation I find it hard to choose between Back To The Future and the other lol.
Very well made films I could watch them over and over. Hands up those who could´nt never forget the little kid inside you that always wants to come out no matter what age you are.
With all best wishes all I can say is I thoroughly enjoyed these films. I don´t find them silly or corny or anything like that if you´ve had a bad day or have fallen out with the world hey put one of these on see how you feel after this is my honest opinion.

Great movie! And when you look at the entire trilogy, it is certainly the best time travel series ever made!

Yeah cos it is "futuristic" by design. As if it was made for the film :)

That was the only car that would work with the Flux Capacitor

The DeLorean was the perfect choice in ever conceivable way.

There really was no other choice - if the car had been something that caught on and there were thousands of them on the road today, it just wouldn't be the same!
