How I found my Wind Turbine

My wife is the brains of this partnership. She was reading the Argus Press classifieds in our area and she came across an ad for batteries. She insisted that I check into this and I being a stubborn German ignored her. Well, she nagged until I called on this item. The gentleman told me these were for a Wind Turbine that he had never installed. That made the hairs on the back of my neck rise. I proceeded to ask more questions and the man told me how he had a complete turbine that was never even assembled and just needed to get it out of his barn. Can you imagine how fast I was in my van and heading down the road?

When I arrived and saw how big a Turbine he was referring to I almost fainted. It is a Quirk Wind Turbine with its own power bank. I guess the moral of the story is to always listen to your wife.

My wife and I finance our turbine project by selling online items from our pawnshop. You can visit us at: We Sell It All Dicker & Deal Here . Maybe you will find something you need and it would help in the financing. If you do not see what you are looking for email from our website- we probably have it in one of our storage buildings. You can also find more information on opening your own Pawnshop at:

Preparing The Site Location

A few pictures of the first steps in preparation for Turbine Installation.

Welding the Support Cage

Support Cage

First section of Heights Tower. It folds over.

The Deep Hole

The big deep hole.

Had To Dig Out Even More

Guess it was not deep enough.

Placing The Cage

Cage is in Position.

Here Comes The Concrete

It took 10 cubic yards of concrete for the footing. That is enough concrete for a 10 foot wide by 80 foot long driveway.

Dieter Climbing the Tower

The power to the tower to make it fold over was not hooked up just yet-so I had to make the climb.
