It's not about having lots of money...

The more you learn about developing a millionaire mind, the more you realize that it's not just about having large amounts of money that you can blow on having some kind of extravagant lifestyle. People with money are not bad people. People with money, are people that have gone the extra mile to really 'grow themselves' and tap into their full God given potential.

Those willing to really go the extra mile with 'personal development growth' are the type of people who have the greatest potential with any residual income business opportunity.

T. Harv Eker's Wealth Principles at a Glance...

There are several wealth principles that T. Harv Eker embeds throughout his book The Secrets of the Millionaire Mind. This is an exhaustive list and may make little sense if read alone. You will greatly benefit from getting your own copy of T. Harv Eker's book. Additionally, the documented personal experiences of this lens from my own journey with a new and innovative residual income business opportunity will assist you in your own journey to developing a healthy money blueprint.
  • Your income can grow only to the extent you do!
  • If you want to change the fruits, you will first have to change the roots. If you want to change the visible, you must first change the invisible.
  • Money is a result, wealth is a result, health is a result, illness is a result, your weight is a result. We live in a world of cause and effect.
  • Thoughts lead to feelings. Feelings lead to actions. Actions lead to results.
  • When the subconscious mind must choose between deeply rooted emotions and logic, emotions will almost always win.
  • If your motivation for acquiring money or success comes from a non-supportive root such as fear, anger, or the need to "prove" yourself, your money will never bring you happiness.
  • The only way to permanently change the temperature in the room is to reset the thermostat. In the same way, the only way to change your level of financial success "permanently" is to reset your financial thermostat.
  • Consciousness is observing your thoughts and actions so that you can live from true choice in the present moment rather than being run by programming from the past.
  • You can choose to think in ways that will support you in your happiness and success instead of ways that don't.
  • Money is extremely important in the areas in which it works, and extremely unimportant in the areas in which it doesn't.
  • When you are complaining, you become a living, breathing "crap magnet".
  • There is no such thing as a real victim.
  • If your goal is to be comfortable, chances are you'll never get rich. But if your goal is to be rich, chances are you'll end up mighty comfortable.
  • The number one reason most people don't get what they want is that they don't know what they want.
  • If you are not fully, totally, and truly committed to creating wealth, chances are you won't.
  • The Law of Income: You will be paid in direct proportion to the value you deliver according to the marketplace.
  • Leaders earn a heck of a lot more money than followers.
  • The secret to success is not to try to avoid or get rid of or shrink from your problems; the secret is to grow yourself so that you are bigger than any problem.
  • If you have a big problem in your life, all that means is that you are a small person.
  • If you say you're worthy, you are. If you say you're not worthy, you're not. Either way you will live into your story.
  • "If a hundred-foot oak tree had the mind of a human, it would only grow to be ten feet tall!" --T. Harv Eker
  • For every giver there must be a receiver, and for ever receiver there must be a giver.
  • Money will only make you more of what you already are.
  • How you do anything is how you do everything.
  • There is nothing wrong with getting a steady paycheck, unless it interferes with your ability to earn what you're worth. There's the rub. It usually does.
  • Never have a ceiling on your income.
  • Rich people believe, "You can have your cake and eat it too." Middle-class people believe "Cake is too rich, so I'll only have a little piece." Poor people don't believe they deserve cake, so they order a doughnut, focus on the hole, and wonder why they have "nothing".
  • The true measure of wealth is net worth, not working income.
  • "Where attention goes, energy flows and results show."
  • Until you show you can handle what you've got, you won't get any more!
  • The habit of managing your money is more important than the amount.
  • Either you control your money or it will control you.
  • Rich people see every dollar as a "seed" that can be planted to earn a hundred more dollars, which can be replanted to earn a thousand more dollars.
  • Action is the "bridge" between the inner world and the outer world.
  • A true warrior can "tame the cobra of fear".
  • It is not necessary to try to get rid of fear in order to succeed.
  • If you are willing to do only what's easy, life will be hard. But if you are willing to do what's hard, life will be easy.
  • The only time you are actually growing is when you are uncomfortable.
  • Training and managing your own mind is the most important skill you could ever own, in terms of both happiness and success.
  • You can be right or you can be rich, but you can't be both.
  • "Every master was once a disaster." --T. Harv Eker
  • To get paid the best, you must be the best.

Getting at the roots and taking action...

These videos are really getting at the heart of how important it is for us to take our thoughts captive and to learn to develop the kinds of thoughts that lead to the kind of actions that produce RESULTS. Practice, practice, practice. Changing our feelings and thoughts requires 'mindset re-orientation'. It won't happen over night, but you reconditioning of the mind will happen with perseverance!

Take Every Thought Captive...

Another theory from Eker's book that is Biblically supported...

When I learned to begin taking my thoughts captive, my overall contentment with situations improved dramatically. This ties in very well with the videos above. If you haven't watched them, I recommend that you do! Start to THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT. Sounds crazy, but you need to evaluate each of your thoughts and be sure they are the type of thoughts that will move you to where you want to be. Remember: thoughts lead to feelings, feelings lead to actions, actions lead to results. It is important to understand that we have the ability to choose our thoughts!

It seems around every door is an obstacle...

It does seem that way sometimes, but it is not a good reason to give up on your dreams and goals. Maybe you keep having obstacles professionally, maybe personally, maybe both. It ABSOLUTELY does not matter. You must grow enough as a person that no matter what the obstacle you are BIGGER than it. You must make the decision to not let PROBLEMS stop you from reaching your highest potential in life!

Eliminate negative roots...

Fear has been an emotion that commonly seems to hold me back. Eker speaks of how we can take action and move forward in spite of fear. This is a life changing concept for me. It doesn't mean we make irresponsible decisions, but it does mean we take calculated risks to develop our self and our business. It means we put ourselves in uncomfortable situations because honestly it's only a matter of time before uncomfortable becomes comfortable, and then we conquer the next thing holding us back.

Life should be a continual growth process. Don't let negative thoughts, negative feelings, or negative people hold you back!

Stop having pity parties...

Seems when things aren't going the way we think they should, we like to have pity parties! It makes us feel better for about ONE MINUTE right. So, stop having them. Life is full of set backs. Life is full of obstacles. You must CHOOSE to press on and move forward NO MATTER WHAT. There is always more to learn and more growing to be done. If you haven't reached your goals, it simply means that you have more growing to do! You must make the decision to continue to invest in yourself and your journey to financial freedom. Choose forward thinking. Choose not to dwell on what's not going right. Find the potential and opportunity of every situation.

Learn to manage the money you have...

"Until you show you can handle what you've got, you won't get any more!"

This is in the Bible...It is truth! If you can't manage a little, God will not allow you to have a lot. This hit me hard because managing money has always been hard for me...not because I'm irresponsible, but because I'm just not good with numbers or budgeting. NO EXCUSES! You don't have to be good at something to learn it, right. Again, we come back to learning!

You can't have results without ACTION

Some false misconceptions about being a business owner online is that you will be able to put in an hour a day and achieve a full time income. Eker talks about cause and effect. I tend to think Biblically, You will reap what you sow. I understand there is an occasional home business super star that makes a ton their first week, but this is not the case 90% of the time. Be prepared to work hard if you truly want to succeed.

Have goals in writing...

You need to know where you want to be with time frames! Set your goals high and frequently re-evaluate how you are doing.

I'll admit, this is another one that is hard for me. I have struggled with negative emotions of feeling greedy if I set high goals, but the truth is 'money will only make me more of who I am'! I am somebody with a heart for helping others. I am passionate about my family and providing for them. I am passionate about having the freedom to be involved in being able to volunteer my time. Having a big goal is OK!
