How To Make Your First Dollar Online

I've gone through a lot of training over the years on how to market on--and off-- the internet. What I'm going to share with you today is from the 1-2-3 Power System and is designed with the newbie in mind.

Let's start off at the end. How do the BIG marketers who do make those obscene amounts of money do it?

Newspaper advertising, magazines, postcards and direct mail.

Not what you expected to hear, eh?

Yep, OFFLINE advertising is actually even more powerful than online advertising. By a long shot!

It's also radically expensive. So how on earth are you, who have spent and spent and spent for minimal return, going to get from HERE to THERE?

The 1-2-3 Power System teaches you to start by using inexpensive Ezine advertising to promote an affordable, appealing product. Here are the steps you need to take to make that first sale using solo ads and Ezine advertising:

Have a great product to sell that is valuable to the audience you will be marketing to

Have a powerful and compelling ad that will go out to the Ezine's subscribers

Have a powerful website that converts well and offers your customers easy ways to pay you

Have an effective and automated followup system in place for those who visit your site, but don't buy right away

To be able to do all this on your own requires you to learn some advanced internet marketing skills such as web design, copywriting, payment processor integration, and autoresponder setup.

Ultimately, once you are experienced and successful in generating an income online, you DO want to develop all the skills I listed above.

But if you are just starting out, this is daunting! I mean think about it...right now, you are new to all this, and you just want to be able to make money online quickly, to convince yourself this is 'for real', right?

This is where the concept of a Turnkey Marketing System comes into play. A turnkey marketing system does NOT mean you are going to do nothing and get rich.

That's just stupid, no such thing exists.

A turnkey marketing system means that someone is going to do all the scary stuff like building an awesome website that people will actually buy from, integrating it with a payment processor so your customers can send you money, writing the ad copy you are going to use to get people to your website, etc.

In other words, everything is done EXCEPT driving traffic to the website. THAT is your job with any internet business, turnkey or no.

So, let's say you are following along with the blueprint included in the 1-2-3 Power System. Thanks to the system, you now have your turnkey marketing program all set up and ready to unleash upon the internet.

What is the first step to drive traffic to your website?

Well, first off, a word of caution. Driving traffic will NOT make you money.

Driving TARGETED traffic will make you great GOBS of money.

See the difference?

Whatever you are selling, you need to make sure that you are getting your message in front of the right audience. 1-2-3 Power System is designed to work for selling any product or niche, online or offline, but you need to custom-tailor the steps to your target market.

In other words, if you are selling a weight loss product, you need to get your message out to people who want to lose weight. If you are selling a home business success course, get your message to people who are in, or are interested in, starting a home business.

Below are some great methods for getting targeted traffic to your website:

Ezine Advertising/Solo Ads

Email Marketing--bring thousands of targeted visitors to your website, for pennies per visitor!

Google Adwords--arguably the most powerful and effective method of advertising on the internet, albeit the most expensive

Digital Ad Gear--this company has an enormous plethora of services that will drive targeted traffic to your website, including email marketing, pay-per-click, autoresponder mailings, and more

There are so many methods of generating targeted traffic for your website, and from there, it just becomes a numbers game, based on the appeal of your website and your offer.

Let's say you convert 1 in 100 visitors into a sale. Let's say that you earn $200 per sale. Therefore, if you are using Google Adwords to sell your product, and you are spending $1 per click, you can expect to spend $100 to make a sale.

Now let me ask you...if I handed you $200 everytime you handed me $100, wouldn't you do that again and again and again??

Ok, so you've been driving high-quality traffic that is interested in your offer to your website, and begun to generate some sales!

What's next?

From here, you need to re-invest some of the profits you just made. You can either continue with the internet marketing techniques recommended above, or move on to STEP TWO of the 123 Power System:

FAX BROADCASTING

We are taking our first foray here into the age-old and time-tested arena of OFFLINE MARKETING.

People READ faxes.

A good fax broadcasting service will send your profit-pulling fax to a high-quality list of interested customers. A bad fax broadcasting service will take your money and just say they did it.

You can either learn the hard way, or get into business with an experienced mentor like myself who can SHOW YOU the companies to advertise with.

Fax broadcasting is a little more expensive than most of the internet marketing methods we talked about, but not all that expensive. And with the right company, the right list, and a top-notch fax message, this can be a LICENSE TO PRINT MONEY

If you are on your own trying to make this work, then I cannot stress enough the importance of testing, TESTING, TESTING!!

Start small, to gauge the quality of your list and your message. Tweak your message as needed, until you are getting the desired response.

Once you have it working, ramp up your advertising to reach greater and greater amounts of visitors. Remember, it's a numbers game, so BE CONSISTENT. If you need to make $5000 this month, and you earn $200 per sale and convert 1 in 100 visitors into a sale...

Then make sure that you get 2500 targeted visitors to your website!

$5000 goal divided by $200 means you need 25 sales that month. 25x100 visitors per sale=2500 visitors needed.

Simple enough?

Now, it's not an exact science, but overall if you are consistent in your advertising you will find that you convert on average a certain %. Some products and websites convert a lot BETTER thant 1 in 100!

For example, the Maverick Money Makers training course, tends to convert 3 in 100. But you only earn $44 per sale if you are reselling that.

Anyway, keep up your advertising with Ezines, email marketing, pay per click, etc. But begin venturing out into fax broadcasting as well, and reinvest a portion of your profits (I recommend 25%!) back into your advertising budget...

...and watch your business grow!
