"I am not a member of any other Affiliate Programs so I can not compare what is being covered in this Getting Started Guide a.k.a The 8-Week Action Plan of Wealthy Affiliate with other affiliate programs. Basing from the TOPIC listed above, this getting started guide will really get you started to have your Internet Marketing career take-off. This Wealthy Affiliate Internet Marketing Guide alone can make you earn money on-line and even bring you your first huge paycheck and ultimately fire your Boss.
The getting started guide is devided to cover 8 weeks and is given on a weekly basis. There was an introduction on what is Internet Marketing and how Wealthy Affiliate comes into play and how it can be of great help to members. WA also has its own affiliate program to boast of and teaches every member how one can actually pay for the monthly subscription not out of their pocket but out of the affiliate program income. Only legitimate members can participate though.
WA Community is the place where members interact including with the owners Kyle and Carson. At this community, you have WA Space; where you can post your Profile; WA Jobs, yes you can actually apply for a job inside this place if you have a special skill like designing a website or something; and then the WA Forum, which is for me the ESSENCE of being a WAer. So much helpful informations are overflowing in this forum. There is no other forum like this! This is also the place at WA where you can find the success stories of a newbie to the most veteran in Internet Marketing, from their 1st $100 to their 1st $1000. These Top Affliate Networks are the suggested companies on where you can find the BEST products to promote online as an Affiliate Marketeer. Let me just give you some terminologies that are mainly used in Affiliate Marketing as describe at WA:
Pay-Per-Sale is the most common payment structure and is used within all networks. Basically, pay-per-sale is just like it sounds. You earn commissions based on "sales" that you can drive to merchant websites. These commissions will either be paid as a percentage of the overall sale or as a flat-fee. Commission percentages range from 1% - 90%, and up to $500 for the flat-fee structure (depending on the program). This can easily amount to huge commissions!
Pay-Per-Lead is less common, but is still used by many different networks. A lead is an action that takes place and is pre-defined by the merchant. For example, a lead could be a free trial sign-up or a completed form application. These will vary based on the company.
Pay-Per-Click as a payment structure is not very common these days as companies are very aware that click-fraud does exist, and many affiliates were taking advantage of this structure through outsourced click-farms. It is exactly how it sounds because you get paid for every click that you send to the merchant company's website. Again, this structure is VERY rare and you will barely every come across a company willing to pay you for every click you send them.
There are 2 types of Marketing that a WA member can use as discussed in this part of the tutorial. And these are the FREE and PAID Marketing Techniques in general. There is only one item WA listed under Paid Marketing Technique and this is Pay-Per Click Marketing. 4 items listed under the Free Marketing Techniques and these are:
