The Fourth Week of Wealthy Affiliate University
By week 4 we were creating Squidoo lenses, product landing pages and even developing our first real Adwords campaigns.

Wealthy Affiliate University - 7 July 2008
Week 4 has arrived and this week is all about building a website. The Learning Outcomes for this week include:
- How a website will benefit you as an Internet marketer
- Setting-up your FREE WA Hosting & choosing domains
- Using Site Rubix
- How to build a website
- Different types of webpages
- How to create landing pages that convert
- Using the feeder sites here at WA
The tasks for the week include:
- Sign-up for a free WA Hosting Account
- If you are interested in having your own website, look for a domain name
- Create your domain space within your WA Hosting account
- Point your domain to your WA Hosting
- Download a Website Template to your computer and open with an HTML editor
- Edit the Website Template and create three reviews / comparisons for 3 different products
- Make sure your landing page contains all important landing page components based on checklist
- Save and upload your landing page to you WA Hosting account
Of course, instructions are given on how to do all of this and plenty of resources including:

- Sample Optimized Landing Pages
- Site Rubix Website Editor
In all, it looks like a busy week especially if you have never created a website before. The beauty of the Wealthy Affiliate University is that you can use the Site Rubix website editor which allows you to create great looking web pages quickly and easily.

Wealthy Affiliate University - 10 July 2008
The Wealthy Affiliate University has gotten really interesting. Kyle and Carson (the owners) have added a new section where members can add information like eBooks, PDFs, videos etc. Some of the information that has been uploaded is amazing. For instance, someone has added an eBook about Niche Marketing, another has added one on How to Master Keyword Research and another has added a video on how to reword PLR articles for article marketing distribution. It's just brilliant!!

So far things are looking good with what we have learnt from the Wealthy Affiliate University.
I used the information from Wealthy Affiliate to create a few Squidoo lenses but I have really only been concentrating on one really well and it is paying off. You can view the lens here - at the time of writing this post it is ranked #88 in the How To category and #766 overall. Not bad considering it has been up for less than a month. The techniques I learnt in Wealthy Affiliate are the reason why it is doing so well.
We also created an Adwords campaign. This is something we have attempted previously but we never really had any success so this is all relatively new to us.
WAU explains everything in a simple, easy to understand language, and so we are finally understanding what we should be doing.
So the campaign we have started is starting to get clicks now so I have to take note of which ads are doing well and toss the ones that aren't. Split testing is the key so they tell me.

Summary of Week 4
Well week 4 is just about coming to an end and it has been a very successful one. The Make Money Online lens that we have been putting most of our effort into is now ranked #328 in Squidoo. We are aiming for the top 100 but we will see how it goes.
Our Adwords campaign is also ramping up and we are starting to get clicks. Adwords is all new to us so it's a bit of a learning experience. But we are learning from the best so it is all good.
