The "Official" WealthyHustler.com Squidoo

The Official WealthyHustler.com Squidoo
Wuts Up! My name is Dustin (better known as the Wealthy Hustler.) I'm a 19 year old future husband and father. But that's in the future (not too far though as I'm a family-oriented gentleman.) Right now, my goal is to change my average lifestyle into an online money making lifestyle.
So where did the whole "Wealthy Hustler" title come from. It was self-given. I naturally have 2 sides to myself. One side is a "classy and grown" gentleman, then I've got the "highly social and street" side of me. I put the two together and came up with the "Wealthy Hustler."
Do not confuse WealthyHustler.com with that of a money making blog. Although my intentions for the WealthyHustler.com blog AND Squidoo is to show how to make money online, the main intentions are to document my venture along the way. As I progress in making money online, I'll teach what I learn and express my OPINIONS on what I think is the best AND not so best methods.
Keep in mind I said opinions. Everyone does things differently online so there is no "1-2-3 Step Program." I plan to also mix a bit of my personal happenings in as well. And for those who care, 10% of my Squidoo earnings will go to the March of Dimes so keep that in mind. I'm not a greedy person and get a good feeling of helping others. =)
WealthyHustler.com has been up for a while now (going on almost, or wait, maybe its already been ... 3 months.) Anyway, I am starting to get growth from that site but for the time being since my budget is tight, I decided to update my Squidoo page to be the official WealthyHustler.com page for a week or two. Even after the ".COM" site is back up, expect updates on here too.
LASLTY, if your interested in the WealthyHustler.com Squidoo page, please, by all means subscribe to the RSS using the 300x300 banner to the right. Thanks.
My New Venture: Step Towards College
First off, I apologize for not being around here for a while. Its the summer and I've been very active so hopefully I can take a little more time when I update my blog to also update you all who read the Wealthy Hustler on Squidoo.
For the last year or so, I've been talking with my fiancee about me attending college. After much persuasion and a thousand hugs and kisses, I've decided to go for it.
My Major + Affiliate Marketing = MONEY!
The whole reason I'm sharing this with all of you is to basically persuade internet marketers out there to think about college as an option.
But why attend college when you can make just as much doing internet marketing alone?
If you think about it, college looks good on your resume in general. Secondly, if your majoring in something like I am (Business Management) then it can help you if you want to do like me. That is to start a network of internet marketing sites and so forth.
So if your a internet marketer, take the above two mentioned examples as something you should consider on attending college. That's all I'm going to say... good luck in your internet marketing ventures.
Hustler Approved Network: MarketLeverage.com
In the affiliate marketing industry today, there are many networks to choose from. You have small networks and big networks. Networks that payout NET15 and networks that payout NET30. Networks that offer 2,000 advertisers and networks that offer 200 advertisers.
The moral of the story is that there are a wide selection of various networks. Choosing the right one is a self-based decision that only you can make. That's why I want to introduce you to Market Leverage. A new (or at least I think it is) affiliate network gaining much exposure already.
THE ML UPPER-HAND
At first, as with every affiliate network, I was skeptical to join. Not because they'd rip me off but because I didn't want to join another network that wouldn't be beneficial.
To say the least, I joined and browsed through the many programs they have. Mainly in the BizOpp niche. And the CPA commissions have got to be the best (if not the greatest) in the industry for many of the advertisers.
Another benefit is their 1% American Express Rewards program. Every month, assuming you reach the MINIMUM of $1,000 commission, you'll receive 1% of your commissions for that month.
For example: You accumulate $5,000 one month. You'll receive a $50.00USD American Express gift card. Keep in mind as well that their $1,000 is the LOWEST REWARDS MINIMUM in the entire affiliate network industry.
BRING ON MORE REWARDS!
What better way to finish the introduction of a new affiliate network then to mention more rewards. With that being said, I feel its only right to mention the MarketLeverage.com referral program.
For every referral you send to the MarketLeverage.com network that signs up as a publisher, you'll receive 5% of whatever they earn. I believe this is for life. I'll have to correct this in a future post if I'm wrong.
So if you send 3 referrals who make AT LEAST $4,000 a month from affiliate marketing, your getting yourself an additional $600 a month. Not too bad if you ask me.
So with all this information, I'm going to certify MarketLeverage.com "Hustler Approved!" If your looking for a new affiliate network, the choice is clearly ML! Join them today. Best of all, its FREE!
Personal Rant: Sprint is Simply Everything (Even Money)
As always, I'm expressing my opinions and thoughts on things that I feel may affect the next person. Sprint, you've got the go-ahead to get opinionated on next. This personal rant shouldn't be taken as me "flaming" them, but instead explaining a situation that COULD happen to you next.
THE STORY
Back in April 2008, I went to my nearest Sprint store in hopes of getting a cell phone and plan. I walked around a bit and saw the phone I actually wanted and saw the plan that fit it. Jump to the conclusion, I purchased the phone AND plan.
Jump ahead one month and now I receive a notice of $400 due on my bill. WAIT WAIT WAIT! I know that is wrong and here is why.
Sprint, Your Screwing People!
So when I purchased the phone and plan on April 21, 2008 I paid a bit over $4xx for the security deposit and phone. I didn't opt-in to pay the first month in advance which I knew would amount to about $25x total.
So I received that bill 2 weeks ago saying it was due May 15. Okay, great, now I know when it was due.
OH NO, But hold the brakes, I forgot to pay that bill! So what happens next, they throw out another bill for $21x saying that "they bill one month in advance."Okay, so I thought since the $25x was the April bill (the very first bill) that the $21x was the May bill. So I contacted them and asked them why I'd be charged for May since my service is disconnected. Low and behold, their response: "The $25x bill was for the April 21-April 21 billing period. The $21x was for the April 21-May 22 billing period."
WWHHHHAAAATTTT!!!!!
In essence, their charging me $25x for ONE DAY OF SERVICE! The day I purchased it, wwoooowwww! Sprint has reached an all-time low.
So this is just a suggestion for anyone considering Sprint as a cell phone service, don't go for it until you read the contract. Other then that, they suck!Although it'll likely get paid and all of that, I'm debating whether I should just pay the $20x early termination fee or just pay the $26x. Part of my bill, the rest is my brothers' half and continue on.
Another lesson learned (which should have been the priority first.) READ CONTRACTS BEFORE SIGNING INTO AN AGREEMENT! Sprint got me, hopefully they won't get you.
Hard Lesson Learned: Don't Publish Advertisers Individually!
Posted May 27, 2008 at 11:50pm ESTBack in March 2008, I was in a mode of excitement. For the first time in my life, I was able to actually say I had earned my first $2k online. It was the one of those unforgettable moments in my life that I tried to duplicate the process a second time for the month of April.
Big Mistake
And with that I learned 2 lessons. First being that not everything works the second time around. Maybe it was a seasonal thing that gave me the good earnings in March, MAYBE. Whatever it was, it didn't really report well in April as I made just short of $1k but still is pretty good.
Lesson 2 was to never focus on one advertiser. The reason being that the strategy I used was to promote an individual advertiser, in which the advertiser never paid the network my April earnings. Therefore, I wasn't paid in May for my April earnings. After constant contact, its been 2 weeks and still no solution although they impose that a solution should be soon. Pst, I heard that 2 weeks ago.
So what am I really getting at?
Not the fact that I am placing blame on the advertiser, 'nor the network, but the fact that I was imposing a strategy that I should have thought twice on. For the last 2 weeks, I've been modifying the strategy to be able to promote multiple advertisers. Although I feel its ready, I can't test it out until next month because I was not paid this month.
So my quick tip strategy is that once you find a niche, I'd recommend advertising TWO prominent advertisers from the specific niche your promoting. Some would call this split-testing so I'll keep that term in place instead of trying to come up with a new term.
Hopefully next month will prove something different and I can actually yield a higher amount. I am shooting for a goal of $4k and up. It wouldn't get no better and to knowing my birthday falls in July, that would be a great birthday gift.
Anyway, keep this mistake in mind the next time you want to promote an advertiser individually.
Simple Math: Dropship + eBay = Internet Income
Posted May 28, 2008 at 4:00am ESTFor anyone who thinks that internet marketing sounds intimidating, I've got a little less intimidating recommendation. Although I've never personally gave it a shot myself I have read enough to know its a legitimate business.
That recommendation: Dropship!
In a nutshell, here is a quick definition to the term dropship:
Dropship - The business of selling merchandise with shipping and order processing handled by merchandise warehouse. You upmark the prices of the merchandise and keep the profits.
If that didn't soak in, let me give you a dropship example:
You (the seller) connect with a dropshipping company (the supplier) to sell to the customer (the buyer.)
So let's say your selling computers on eBay. The dropshipper has a DELL computer that your able to sell for $500 (plus $50 shipping ... $550 total.) You sell the computers on eBay for $750.00 each and you capture around 15 sales a month.
You just earned $3,000 for the month. Not bad for a little bit of work.
So why should you sell on eBay? The reason being to keep your overhead (expenses) low. Compare this to the costs to operate an E-Commerce store.
With eBay, you don't have to pay for your annual domain price, hosting charges or operation of an E-Commerce store. Plus, with eBay being the BIGGEST online auction site gaining AT LEAST (I'm estimating) 20k+ UNIQUE VISITORS A DAY, your sure to reach a large amount of traffic. That should minimize costs when it comes to marketing.
So if internet marketing seems like the ultimate intimidation factor, then take this suggestion wisely.
One way to better understand how to analyze your eBay auction is to try the program called "Increase My Margin." Check it out, the banner is to the right and you'll get a FREE 14-day trial for only $4.95 and if your not satisfied, you can cancel at anything within' the 14 days.
Hustler Strategy 1: Keep Your Articles Matched
Posted May 26, 2008 at 8:32am ESTAnyone who knows me on a personal level would tell you that fashion is somewhat my thing. I like matching things up and making sure it all coordinates well together. Shoes have to go with the rest of the outfit generally speaking.
Moving away from my "personal" lifestyle, I kind of took the above approach into my internet marketing lifestyle. I incorporated the above strategy into my internet marketing, allowing me to remember to keep things organized and together.
So Hustler Strategy 1 is:
SYNC YOUR AFFILIATE PRODUCT/SERVICE WITH YOUR ARTICLE TOPIC
Let's say you want to write a article about your opinion and experience with a previous cell phone service. It wouldn't really make sense to link a to a affiliate banner that is in the automotive industry. Instead, link to a affiliate website providing cell phone services.
The strategy here is to keep your banners and/or your contextual links inside your article flowing along with the topic at hand. That is why I usually approach the strategy as trying to get dressed to go out. I wouldn't wear a green polo shirt with some orange Nike's would you, unless they absolutely matched.
NOW, if the topic is too generalized to make a solid decision on a niche product, then you either have one of two choice. Revise the article to narrow down to a niche product or service you can promote. OR, choose a product or service that is generalized enough to sync in with the article itself and will make readers want to actually click the advertisement.
So the next time your deciding to write an article to market a affiliate product or service, be sure to keep the topic coordinating.
You Can Learn How to Trade Forex Like a Pro
Before I even start this article off, I want to be brutally honest with everyone. I am NOT (I repeat, NOT) a money expert. Then again, I technically am NOT, at the same time, giving any advice on what to do with your money. Think of it as a friendly suggestion, nothing more and nothing less.
With that being said, everyone is always looking for new methods of making money. It could be the stock market (which some would say is a LOT more riskier then Forex.) Although I can't validate that, doing a small amount of research can provide to you whether that fact is true or not.
But for anyone who is interested, there is a website called ForexPros.com that allows you to learn how to trade forex. The ability to open a free forex demo account to test your abilities is a genius idea to, once again, be honest with you.

They also allow you to (if you click the banner to the right) obtain information from brokers that have demo accounts. Seeing how many brokers allow you to learn forex currency trading from a few different resources will definitely open up your eyes to the possibilities.
