Easy Weatherstripping Tips for Your Home - Save Energy, Save Money, and Be Greener with New Weather Stripping!
The Benefits of Weatherstripping
Save cash, save energy with simple weatherstripping on your home
Even homes that are well insulated can benefit from weatherstripping and caulking to reduce air from entering/exiting the home. Is your surrounding area a little too noisy? Weatherstripping might end that unwanted noise, and will keep out critters, particles and drafts alike. On a one to ten scale (ten being the most difficult), installing new weatherstripping is a "2" difficulty. Anyone can do it. Of all energy home improvements,
installing tight weatherstripping can be one of the most effective. It's cheap, too...you can most likely seal all your leaks for $20 or less.

Alternatively, you can see most gaps during the day if you look at the weather stripping from the inside when the door is closed. Weatherstripping Windows

- Great tips. We've had our house energy audited and replaced the furnace and all of the windows but not the front door. I'll be getting out my flashlight to check the weatherstripping! Thanks for the idea.
