You have a blog or you are thinking about starting one. Here's a run down on web hosting for blogs.
Blog Host Reviews
Find Web Hosting For Your Blog
The truth is that you can use just about any web hosting for blogs. You don't need a special web hosting service just for blogs. If you can read directions you can install any blogger, wordpress, moveable type, etc blog on any web hosting.
However some hosts are more blog friendly than others and they make it easy for you with one click installs. This is great for people who don't care to learn about programming, FTP, and the sorts.
I know how much I like reading about a service before I try it and with all the hosts out there it's hard to know how to trust.
The following reviews are based upon my personal experience. I will not review a host unless I am currently using them or have used them in the past. All hosts on this page can be trusted with your information.

Dreamhost
It's okay but certainly not your only option
Dreamhost is very blog friendly as it has a one click installer. Once you sign up with Dreamhost you can instantly install:- Wordpress
-Joomla
-Moodle
-phpbb
-dotProject
-MediaWiki
-Web Calendar
and a few more tools.
Pros:
-The service is cheap especially if you use a coupon
-The one click install is very easy
-Save 50% on fees for monthly and one year plans PLUS get a free
domain registration when you use promo code BLOGHOSTING.
Cons:
-This host tends to have more downtime than the other hosts I've used.
-They do offer support but it's not as speedy as some of the other hosts.
-They don't have Cpanel, they have their own software (this is not a major drawback but it depends)
Try Dreamhost (Don't forget to use promo code BLOGHOSTING to get your discount)
Downtown Host
Top notch service
Downtown Host is what I like to think of as a great little secret. They are hands down the best I've worked with so far. They have Fantastico Deluxe so you can quickly install:
-b2evolution
-Wordpress
-Nucleus
-Drupal
-Joomla
-Mambo
-PhpNuke
-phpBB
-Simple Machines
and many more programs including ecommerce programs, billing software, image galleries, polls, mailing lists, and wikis.
Pros:
-They have the best service I've ever received. Every problem I've had has been handled promptly. They offer a live chat as well as email service.
- They moved my sites over for free
- They offer Cpanel
-Downtime has been minimal and extremely rare
- Once again, I can't mention enough how great the service is
-They have a plan just for blog hosting that starts at $5.95 a month
Cons
-They are a bit more expensive than other options if you need more space
Try Downtown Host
Innohosting
They are okay
I have a few blogs with Innohosting. I initially signed up because I was looking for a reliable host with a great reselling program.Like Downtown Host, they have Cpanel which allows you to easily install:
-b2evolution
-Wordpress
-Nucleus
-Drupal
-Joomla
-Mambo
-PhpNuke
-phpBB
-Simple Machines
Pros
-If you eventually want to resell web hosting this is a great place to start.
- They are active on web hosting message boards so this means they care about their reputation.
-They sometimes have promotional codes
Cons
-My debit card is charged automatically monthly and there is an international transaction fee debited. This could be avoided if I used Paypal or a Credit Card but I'd rather pay with my business account.
-Their support is not nearly as fast as Downtown Host
Godaddy Hosting
Try it if you want but there are better options
I get a lot of my domains from Godaddy. A few years ago I signed up with their hosting because I wanted to build a site with Joomla but I didn't want to install it myself. Years later I am too lazy to move the site to another host so I still pay $4/month to Godaddy to host this site. However that doesn't mean I'd recommend them as a host.Pros:
-It's easy to sign up
-It's good for beginners who don't need any complicated scripting
- I haven't had any problems with my account
Cons:
-You shouldn't have your domains and hosting from the same place
-A lot of scripts, programs, etc have problems on Godaddy hosting
-It's been reported that some users have trouble using permalinks with Wordpress. ( A suggested solution is to edit the 404 behavior within the hosting control panel to "Make my 404 Page my Home Page. BUT if you have multiple blogs hosted this will not work)
-Their bandwidth overage charges are a bit hefty
Try Godaddy
