Webkinz Plush Pets with Secret Codes!
After finally succombing to peer pressure, my kids have joined the millions of Webkinz pet owners! I've been on the Webkinz website myself, and with the parental controls, I am confident it is a safe website for children.
My daughter has 5 and my son has 2, and they each have fun going online to feed, dress, and play games with their pets.

Webkinz Website Safe for Children
Once I finally gave in to my children's begging and pleading for a Webkinz pet, I helped them go online and entered in their pets' secret codes. Of course I looked around the website and played a few games (ummm.. I was earning points for my kids. Yeah, that's right. Earning points.), and then I found the parental controls.Kids have the ability to add their freinds to a chat list, and depending on the parental controls, they can chat outright with friends or they can restrict chat to selecting scripts. Of course, I've restricted the social aspects as much as possible, and I feel the website is safe for them. Almost on a Ft. Knox level of safety.
Fortunately, my kids aren't that interested in the chatting (yet), but the security measures on Webkinz' website are a great comfort for parents.
Having Fun with Webkinz
Webkinz teach kids responsibility since they have to feed, play with and take them to the vet. Play games to earn KinzCash, and spend it on stuff for your pets: clothes, rooms, decor, etc. Many things in your pets room are interactive, like the stove, swimming pool, garden, and more.
Uh Oh! Is this Webkinz real?
One of our Webkinz doesn't have a Magic W on its paw!
That's OK!The first Webkinz were made without the "magic W". They weren't all released right away, so once in a while some new Webkinz will be sold without the "magic W".
As long as the Webkinz pet is made by Ganz and has an official Webkinz tag, your pet is fine and will have the same access to the Webkinz website as your other Webkinz pets.
