How is Your Site Doing?
If the answer is 'it could be better', or 'I wish I made more money' then don't worry, you're not alone. There are many people out there who are just like you. Thousands, or probably more.
This lens shows you a path that you can take to start making improvements.
Today.
There's also a list of some people who've started down this path already.
So read on...
Help! Where Do I Start with Fixing My Site?
OK, so you'd like to make some improvements. Where do you start? Maybe you could try some SEO, or change the content a bit, or adjust the navigation to improve conversions.
You've read a lot of stuff about this on other sites. Maybe you've checked out a few magazines or books. You know a little bit about website marketing. There's a ton of helpful info out there...
Here's the thing: so what will you fix first?
Which area is the most important, and what should you do to improve it? What should you work on tomorrow, and next week?
Are you confused by all the SEO technology out there? Looking for some simple techniques to increase Page Rank?
If you're like all those other folks who are working hard on their sites, you probably throw your hands up at this point and go back to checking your search stats.
It Doesn't Have to be Difficult...
What if there was a way to quickly check out your site to see what was working and what needed some attention?
How about if you had a list of all the things that you needed to improve? What if the list showed you which items were the most critical, so that you knew what to work on first?
Would you be happy to spend a couple of hours working together on your site to get a hold of this list?
You bet!
So Here's the Secret...
They even have a score for their website which shows them how it's doing overall (but not everyone wants to share it):

Around 100 points: doing pretty well
Around 200 points: I reckon you know a lot about this already...
Here's the first of these folks. Head back to this lens soon to see how the list of people is growing.

Here's What Other People Have to Say About Website Stress Test
In a way that is both informative and entertaining, Dr. Richard clearly explains some behind the scenes tweaks in the world of search engine optimization

Dear Dr. Richard:
I'm a newbie when it comes to building websites, and frankly wouldn't even attempt it if I could afford to have it done for me! That said, I can't tell you how much I appreciate your book, "WEBSITE STRESS TEST!" Inexperienced as I am, your book has made it clear that of the billion-plus websites out there, probably every one of them could be improved and made more effective using the techniques you describe.
I have no illusions about my website: it will never compare to those done professionally! However, I am positive that having read your book, and understood and applied the techniques you've detailed, my site will have a definite advantage over a lot of others, including many done professionally. One reason for that is that I think most people put their sites up and then sit back and do no more (as I would have done!). You've made it abundantly clear how important it is to improve my website by adding and/or changing content on a regular basis, among other things, and that is advice I am committed to follow.
Your easy-going style of writing, and the fact that even a dummy like me can understand and follow your instructions and advice, makes your book a "must have" for anyone serious about improving their web presence and the effectiveness of their sites (in other words, practically everyone).
Please feel free to use my testimonial to help promote "WEBSITE STRESS TEST."

You Are Not a Dummy
I think you know more about your website than anyone else
It's hard to find information out there which is aimed at the right level. You could try a web design for dummies book, or even an html for dummies book. But do you really feel like a dummy?
I bet you've put a lot of work into your site. I bet you think about it all the time.
This makes you the world's expert on your site.
On the other hand, you don't want anything too technical. I've a feeling you don't really want to be an SEO expert, but you would like to learn some SEO tips that you can easily master and apply to your website. No Google Hacks, just tried and tested and simple ideas.
So what if there was a guide out there that explained what you needed to know about a great website, with just the right amount of technology.
Somewhere in between a dummy and a geek...
