Giorgia Cosplay, italian's most influential cosplayer
During the last 10 years, cosplay has expanded its fan base in italy. One of the most influencial cosplayer is the beautiful Giorgia Vecchini, better known in the world of cosplay as "Giorgiacosplay".
Each Year a contest take place in Japan: it's the world cosplay Summit which has participants from many countries in the world.
Giorgia Won the 2005 edition with a fantastic costume from a classic Anime of Japan: She was Silen from "Devilman" (aka debiruman) .

Being pretty It's not enough to win the japanese audience
A cosplayer need to know her character: the poses, the expressions. If people ask you to take a picture, you are supposed to "act" like character portraied.That's why the Japan contest is so challenging: the participants are carefully selected because they must appear on the tv, before an audience that know intimely the characters. There's no margin for errors!
And the various countries are becoming more skilled each year: Mexico, Brazil and Usa are giving a fair fight, considering that the anime culture reached their lands a lot later than in europe.
I think that if many people around the world have been using feathered wings after 2005, it's because of Giorgia awesome Costume of Silen.
