Planning a Wedding Do It Yourself

The best way to save on your wedding is to start with a budget. Talk to each other and find out what each of you want to spend on your wedding and how much you both can afford to spend. This should be the first step when planning a wedding.

The second step should be to discuss how you envision your wedding to appear. What would make your wedding day a dream come true, what is the most important aspects of your wedding. Write down your visions, discuss what the two of you want together as a new couple and what you can afford. Then list your perfect wedding ideas on a clean sheet of paper and put this paper in the front of your wedding planner folder to help you see your destination.

When deciding how to decorate your reception hall, first look at the shape and figure out how the tables will fit, where the dance floor is going to be and how large, where is the head table and cake table going to be set up. The best thing is to draw a layout of the room and where everything is going to be, then you can decide what kind of decorations and where they will go. You can decide if you would like to drape fabric for a more romatic feel maybe with some mini lights or perhaps cover the chairs and tie with a ribbon bow and matching napkins for a more formal look, but what about balloons they are always fun.
