Beautiful Bridal Hair Styles
Creating the perfect look for your wedding day
Ensuring that your hair is in a style that you are comfortable with may not be one of your priorities as you plan your wedding day, but you may want to spend a bit of time (perhaps with your bridesmaids) planning just how your hair will look.
GET SET - HOW TO PREPARE!
So, finally the great day is around the corner? With butterflies fluttering inside, you eagerly await the precious moment, the once-in-a-lifetime occasion! Surely, you do not want to leave any stone unturned as you prepare yourself for the moment, right from your bridal attire, to your jewelry and finally hair; you want all in place and perfect to the 'T'!
Read on, as we give you a detailed outline as to how you can prepare yourself properly to head for a perfect coiffure on the most memorable day of your life.
1. Visualize and Plan
Sounds too mechanical, but that is the only way to do it. Sit down with a notebook and a pen in hand. Visualize yourself as a bride, on the day of your wedding. You will immediately start realizing all what should be in place by that time for you to get yourself a perfect hairdo. Make a list of what all you could need. For instance, your to-do list for the bridal hairstyle could carry:
- Appointment with hairstylist
- Dress rehearsal with the bridal outfit
- Gathering supplies
- Hair coloring/perming/other treatment to be done
- Any specific problem (like graying) to be handled, and so on.
2. Take Decisions
Now, for the most important part! Once you've decided which bridal outfit to wear, you need to decide what kind of a hairstyle you want to carry. Remember this is the hairdo which will remain for decades in your precious picture albums, so decide accordingly.
3. Gather Supplies
Whether you've decided to carry your long shimmering tresses in a traditional chignon or you've opted for a glamorous high updo; you need to plan and get the required equipment you could require. These could range from brushes, combs, bobby pins and a blow dryer, going up to a straightener and finally the accessories you decide.
4. Hair nourishment
Do not forget the toll wedding preparations have on your precious tresses! It is important that you follow a healthy and consistent routine of conditioning and revitalizing your hair at least 3 months prior to the wedding date.
After all, you do not want to plan to the hilt, spend a fortune and yet end up with limp looking hair that hardly has any impact.

THE EVENT - HOW TO LOOK RAVISHING!
You've gone through the grind and the day's finally here! Ensure that you get a good night's sleep and get up fresh. Most hair specialists will also advise you to have a head bath the previous night, so that your hair is more manageable than freshly shampooed hair. You must remember to follow your hair stylists' instructions on how and when to blow-dry and how to comb or brush your damp hair.
Keep yourself free of stress and anxiety by being absolutely punctual in your appointment with the hair stylist. Do not arrive late, as this will not give enough time to the stylist to work on your hair.
Next, ensure that you wear all the jewelry required in the right sequence. For instance, if your bridal outfit entails that you slip it over your head, let your stylist know this well in advance. You will not want to spoil a perfectly done coiffure in an attempt to pull your dress down your neck.
Make sure that your hairdresser fixes any loose hair or strands with gels and pins. Weddings can be a tough time for bridal hairstyles.
With so many people meeting and interacting with the bride, she might as well be carrying a hairstyle that is firmly in place inspite of the rough weather!
