The Song of Ruth -- Lyrics
Nor to return from following thee
For where thou goest I will go
Where thou lodgest I will lodge
Thy people shall be my people
Thy God, my God
And where thou diest I'll die too,
And there i shall be buried.

Morning Has Broken - Lyrics
Morning has broken, like the first morningBlackbird has spoken, like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for them springing fresh from the world
Sweet the rains new fall, sunlit from heaven
Like the first dewfall, on the first grass
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden
Sprung in completeness where his feet pass
Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning
Born of the one light, eden saw play
Praise with elation, praise every morning
Gods recreation of the new day!
From Wikipedia - The lyrics were written by Eleanor Farjeon in 1922 and are found in the hymnals of many denominations.[3] The original poem can be found in the anthology "Children's Bells" under Farjeon's original title A Morning Song (For the First Day of Spring), published by Oxford University Press in 1957. The tune to which it is normally sung is called "Bunessan", based upon a Scottish Gaelic traditional melody. Before Farjeon's words, it was used as a Christmas carol which began "Child in the manger, Infant of Mary", translated from the Gaelic lyrics written by Mary MacDonald. [4] The English-language Roman Catholic hymnal also uses the tune for the hymn "This Day God Gives Me".

West Side Story-One Hand, One Heart
Maria and Tony's make-believe wedding. This is my favorite part of their romance. I also like the performance before the song. The cinematography in the wedding scene is amazing as well.

One Hand, One Heart Lyrics
Vows included - our daughter and son-in-law used these vows also. Beautiful!
MARIA: (Spoken) I, Maria, take thee, Anton . . .
TONY: For richer, for poorer . . .
MARIA: In sickness and in health . . .
TONY: To love and to honor . . .
MARIA: To hold and to keep . . .
TONY: From each sun to each moon . . .
MARIA: From tomorrow to tomorrow . . .
TONY: From now to forever . . .
MARIA: Till death do us part.
TONY: With this ring, I thee wed.
MARIA: With this ring, I thee wed.
TONY (Sings)
Make of our hands one hand,
Make of our hearts one heart,
Make of our vows one last vow:
Only death will part us now.
MARIA
Make of our lives one life,
Day after day, one life.
BOTH
Now it begins, now we start
One hand, one heart;
Even death won't part us now.
Make of our lives one life,
Day after day, one life.
Now it begins, now we start
One hand, one heart,
Even death won't part us now
Hallelujah Chorus Recessional - Powerfully Beautiful for Wedding Recessional!
Handel: 'Hallelujah' [Chorus From Oratorio 'Messiah']
Performed on November 20th, 2005 by Saint Severin Choir at Church Saint Jean-Baptiste de Grenelle (Paris). Directed by Joël Sibille. http://psg.com/~patf/handel/messiah.html Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! For the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. [Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!] For the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. [Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!] The kingdom of this world Is become the kingdom of our Lord, And of His Christ, and of His Christ; And He shall reign for ever and ever, For ever and ever, forever and ever, King of kings, and Lord of lords, [King of kings, and Lord of lords,] And Lord of lords, And He shall reign, And He shall reign forever and ever, King of kings, forever and ever, And Lord of lords, Hallelujah! Hallelujah! And He shall reign forever and ever, [King of kings! and Lord of lords!] And He shall reign forever and ever, King of kings! and Lord of lords! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

Oh, and I forgot to say - "Morning Has Broken" is a tremendous favorite of mine, and I was interested in "The Song of Ruth" because I'm a convert to Judaism and Ruth is our girl, and also because I directed "The Triangle Jewish Chorale" for 14 years and would have liked knowing about this song then. Oh, and one more thing - your sound of music youtube link is broken (removed for copyright reasons) so you might want to replace it. Thanks for all...

Hi, I learned a ton from this lens - I love the way you presented your mp3s from Amazon and I'm going to try it myself. I'm a wedding musician and wedding blogger and have been recording my favorite wedding songs as a hobby - I'm so proud of the collection and would like more people to hear it, you've given me a few ideas! Also, I didn't know one could feature a Twitter search at squidoo, what a great idea! Boy howdy, big thanks! Now I'm going to go visit some of your other lenses. By the way, when my dad was 8 he was in the "Peppler Family Band" with his father and sisters and they did "Blue Hawaii" and the "Hawaiian wedding song" on the radio in York, Pennsylvania.
