The Plan Behind The Plan
Different people prefer different ways of proposing. Some like it public, while some like it private. Some like it grand, some like it modest. Some like it noisy and some like it quiet.Before you propose, you have to understand that the "best" proposal might not be for you. Remember to keep the lady (or man) in mind when planning your special moment. Make very sure she is not uncomfortable in the situation. Make very sure also that YOU are not uncomfortable in the situation. Because at the end of the day, the most important thing except for a positive reply, is making it memorable.
Therefore, like any other thing you want to do, you have to.... plan! Consider the setting you want to be in. Consider how your decision to get married will affect people close to you. Will it mean a lot to her if you ask her father's permission in advance? Would it mean a lot to her if you get along with her children?
Do what she like to do. If she likes to dive, bring her diving and hide the ring in the corals. If she like climbing, propose to her at the top of the mountain! Places that have special meaning to you as a couple is also a very good place to start considering.
If you want to pull off a certain wedding proposal, make sure you have everything ready. Make sure everyone (if anyone there) knows what is going on. If you propose while diving, make sure the guide (if any) knows what you are doing. You want to make sure there's no problem!

Where Do I Propose?
Choosing The Perfect Location
People say the location isn't important as long as the special someone is with you. That maybe right. But what if your lady like it special and romantic? Well, here are some of your choices.I will not list a lot of places for you to choose. The world is reallly huge. I will list some below but here are some of the general idea.
If you want it romantic, propose in a dim setting. When a place is dim, your cornea becomes larger and makes both of you look more attractive. Blemishes and acne can hardly be noticed and the moment she'll always remember is your perfect face!
If you want it full of memories, propose somewhere with a special meaning to you. It can be a supermarket, if that's where your first date is.
Propose where she doesn't expect it. A sky trip, during a jog, during a shower, or even when she is cooking dinner for you!
Know when to propose! Never propose at someone else's wedding! You might steal their thunder!
Romantic Places To Propose
- Hawaii. Places like the The Fairmont Orchid, The Garden Isle, Oahu and Kauai are very romantic places to pop the question Hawaii is famous for its beaches. Naturally, the places to propose in Hawaii would also be on the beaches at sunset or sunrise.
- Paris. So called most romantic city in the whole world. Want an intimate and quiet place? Le Coupe-Chou is a very romantic restaurant located in the Latin Quarter suitable for you.
If you are a fan of a public proposal, outside the Notre Dame Cathedral is a good place to go. Lit up with lights at night, it provides you with the best settings you can ever find. - Manila is a city not known for romance, but it has some very romantic places too! Places like Sonya's Garden and Calaruega Church in Tagaytay are very good choices if your are planning on popping the question in Manila.

The Ring is just as important as your proposal. I'm sure you will be spending a lot of money to buy THE ring so make sure you know what you are doing. If you have no idea what a carat is, make sure you find someone who do to help you. She will spend the rest of her life with that ring, so you want to make sure 1) She likes it. 2)It's durable.Consider her everyday life. If she is a teacher, is the ring too fancy to wear to school? Designing your own ring is the big trend now. When you design your own ring, be very sure she would like it....
Take note of the jewelery she currently have. Have an what she likes. If you are like a typical guy, you probably STILL have no idea.
Next is go to her friends! To be more specific, he girl friends. Make sure it's someone close to her and knows her. Someone who not only knows her but also familiar with diamonds. But don't worry looking for girls who knows how to choose diamonds, most of us are born with that knowledge.
If she really don't have any friends, then the only thing you can do is trick her her! Casually ask her what interests her when thumbing through magazines or window shopping.
Once you get the ring she like, what size should it be? This is one of those part where man are really stumped.... well, you guys are always stumped when it comes to ladies anyway. ;P What you can do is imprint one of her rings on a soap bar and let your jeweler determine its size.
