Wedding Sand Ceremony

By using sand and vases, the wedding sand ceremony joins all types of families in unity. The bride and groom can include a special wedding sand ceremony after exchanging their wedding vows to create a lasting keepsake of their togetherness.

A separate set of vows are prepared for the wedding sand ceremony. These simple vows express the couple's commitment to each other. Various sand colors are chosen by the bride and groom. The bride and groom recite their vows and take turns pouring sand from smaller vases into a larger unity vase. After the wedding ceremony is over, the couple takes the unity vase to their new home together as a treasured keepsake to display on a table, shelf or mantle. A heart shaped unity sand ceremony set is a lovely way to remember the romance you share.

The Sands of Your Lives

A wedding sand ceremony is particularly appropriate at a beach wedding. Couples can sink their toes into the sand while they pour the sand into the unity vase to express their eternal love. The nesting unity sand ceremony is ideal for outdoor or destination weddings. After the ceremony, the two pouring vases can be filled with fresh flowers. All three vases are taken to the new martial home after the ceremony to remember the magic of the moment forever.

Bring blended families together with a family unity ceremony, a variation of the traditional wedding sand ceremony. Children and other family members may be included in this blending ceremony. First, the bride and groom pour sand into the unity vase with their special vases. Then smaller vases are used by other family members to pour sand into the unity vase, such as family sand ceremony miniature nesting vases. In most instances, the eldest family member begins first. New families bond with this wedding sand ceremony and have a lasting keepsake of their lives together.

The wedding sand ceremony is usually performed after the couple exchanges their vows. It may also be done after the ceremony ends or at the reception during the cake cutting ceremony. The sand colors may match the wedding theme, the wedding party or the décor of the couple's home. Special vows are prepared to accompany the wedding sand ceremony. Gentle music may be played in the background during the ceremony.

The wedding sand ceremony has only become popular recently in North America but dates back many years. Incorporate something old and something new into your day by including a wedding sand ceremony to celebrate your togetherness as a family.
