You have a beautiful diamond on your finger, and the man of your dreams asking for your hand in marriage. It is like a dream come true. Your thoughts are soaring about your special day. Most couples don't start out planning for marriage problems. They all think they are going to have the perfect life together, much in the same way that you do. Getting marriage advice prior to marriage is more important then the type of flowers you are going to have or who is going to walk you down the isle. This is big stuff, a lifetime commitment to another human being, and it is definitely worth investing a little bit of time and effort into planning. Who is going to pay the bills? How many children do each of you want? Where are you going to live? There are a million questions that I am sure that you haven't even thought to ask yet, so why not seek out some marriage advice?

I honestly think that most people don't seek out marriage counseling before marriage, because they are under the assumption that counseling is just for when a marriage has hit rock bottom. For when you need to stop divorce and there is no other way to save marriage. This is not so. Marriage counseling is a good way to make sure that you are both on the same page prior to getting married. A counselor can help you see areas of your relationship that need work, and help you to close any gaps in your perceptions prior to walking down the isle.

Be sure to invest at least as much time into planning your life together as you do in planning your wedding day, and you will not only have the perfect day, but the perfect life to follow it.

White Gold Wedding Rings
White gold alloys can be made with palladium or nickel. Nickel however is toxic and its use in white gold is controlled by legislation in Europe but not in America and other countries. White gold alloys can be used which are based on are more expensive palladium, silver and other white metals. An alloy of pure gold (24ct.) to make 18ct white gold with the use of other alloys results in an 'off-white' colour. It is an industry standard to plate finished white gold wedding rings and jewellery with rhodium which is a precious pure white metal to achieve that 'bright-white' showroom condition, however you need to be aware that that the plating can wear off. If you can't stretch to platinum you may like to consider palladium. High-carat white gold alloys are far more resistant to corrosion than are either pure silver or sterling silver. When comparing and buying a white gold wedding ring, make sure you ask for details about its manufacture.
