Talking about wedding Photography
We are a passionate team about wedding photography and want to write about it. This seems like a good spot to air our views and hopefully attract some brides and educate them. Making new friends is not so undesirable either.

Brides must read this:-
You visited a designer and picked your pattern. THe design is finished and you have bought the loveliest material for your dress. The masterpiece is just about finished and now you must decide on a photographer. This is the point where your most beautiful day is either made or destroyed because in 20 years time all you will have left of your wedding day is your photographs. You phone a photographer and ask him 'How much is your cheapest package?' With an argumentlike that you ask the lady down the street to make your wedding dress for you. Impossible you say, cannot be as she is not professional. I say again - Your photos are the only thing that will be left of your wedding. Be they good or bad.
Your photographer bought his camera at a chain store. He does his printing at the same place that you give your holiday pictures in and after 2 says he hands you a packet of photos and his work is done. He does photography part time as he has a full time job. This is just a way for him to earn extra money. Your photographer is also not a professional, but that does not matter because he is cheap.
a Professional does photography full time. He is also alway busy researching photo ideas. Because he is alsway busy with photography he knows how to pose brides and to take photos from the best angles. He carries back up equipment with him in case anything goes wrong. He can deliver in any kind of situation even if the weather is acting up.
a Professional never works alone. There will be his assistant and each with their own responsibilities.
This assistant is usually a woman, to fix ties, smooth a dress and help if the garter is slipping. She also calmes a nervous bride and help with emergency repairs to the dress. The photographer handles the camera and looks at lighting and background and in conjunction with his assistant they will take the most breathtaking photos of any bride.
So if you thought that any photographer will do, think again. Now is not the time to ask your uncle or your friend with the nice camera to take your wedding pictures. Get a professional
Your choice of photographer
Now is not the time to make a mistake
First impressions - what does the person look like - presentable, friendly. You will be spending the largest portion of your wedding day in his company. You should be able to get along with him/her.
His portfolio - First impressions. The more attention given to the album quality, the safer will your most precious day`s memories be in his/her hands. a Simple slip in album bought at the chain store means that he/she does not care a lot about your memories.
The photos - first impression Photos must be in focus. Bright and colourful. Dull photos means that yours will also look the same. The photographer`s photo must give you the 'wow' feeling, then you are on the right track.
What about the presentation? Is everything explained orderly that you can understand it. Is the photographer eager for you to look through his portfolio? Does the photographer give you more than enough information?
If you have any ideas for photos that you woulklike taken, will this photographer incorporate them or is he bent on taking photos of his choice. Remember it is your money, you should have the largest say of the tipes of photos that you would like to be taken.
Avoid cheap photographers that offer discount on top of this. This is a recipe for later dissapointment. This photographer has little or no confidence in his ability and are attracting clients by offering low prices. Go through the portfolio and look at the photos - is there a wide variety or to they all look the same. Yours will look the same too. See if there are any examples of all the services the photographer is offering. If not, then is is not doing what he says he can do. As soon as you have finished with the portfolio ask to see a complete wedding - preferably a recent one and if possible at your venue where you plan to get married. It is very easy to take images from a couple of weddings and put together a portfolio.
Does your photographer offer albums with his packages? Will he/she compile your album for you and present you with a complete album to complete your business. Most people are working after the marriage and do not have the time to compile albums and a professional photographer should offer you this service.
Advice and pointers - Your photographer is actually the ideal wedding coordinater. Remember he visits all the venuses around your area and should be able to give his advice on venues, food and other tips like flowers, etc. He sees wedding designer dresses and should also give you a couple of pointers in this regard.
So a photographer is not only there to take pictures but used wisely can be a goldmine of information.
