My Review: Why I hate Titanic
in 100 words or less!
Titanic
Amazon Price: $10.99 (as of 07/25/2008)
I don't want to hear anything about the box office receipts ... we all know they were so high because of all the young girls who kept going back and watching it again, hoping beyond logic that Jack didn't really die.
Go ahead, disagree. I dare you.
Is Titanic the worst film of all time?
Fetching blurbs now... please stand byYeah, Titanic is TERRIBLE.

I don't think it was the worst movie of all time BUT I don't see how anyone could watch it more than once. Once was PLENTY for me.

Are you lot crazy? Of all the films made about the Titanic, this is the only film that I have seen that really shows what happened that night. Are you forgeting that this is based on real events and that over 1500 people, men, women and children lost their lives that night. I agree about the Jack and Rose story being silly, but forget about them 2 and look at the rest of the film, actual photage from the Titanic, which in itself in brilliant. The grand staircase copied to every single detail from the ship's design, the portrayal of the first, second and third class passengers truthful to that time also. It was a shame that the film did not show some important factors that did happen, like the changing of the distress message, from CQD to SOS (the first ship to ever use this), or that the ship had run out of red flairs, therefore having to use white flares. But there is only so much that you can put in a film. I think that everyone should watch the movie for its historical content, and not be a teen drooling over Jack or Rose.

I loved this movie (even though I hate the over-played Celine Dion song from it). Your line of,"Spoiler alert not necessary: we all know how this one ends." made me laugh out loud!

It hits you like a thousand knives stabbing you all over your body. You can't breathe. You can't think. At least, not about anything but the pain.

Showdown!
Should Jack have survived?
Fetching blurbs now... please stand byNo, it would totally ruin the movie.
Yeah, but only if he could be killed later. Like by a tornado.

I can see it now ... tragically separated for decades, he and Rose are about to be reunited, and then the big one comes ... with Bill Paxton chasing after it ... because he still loves whats-her-face ... oooh yeah

'RMS Titanic''' was an Olympic-class passenger liner owned by the White Star Line and built at the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast, Ireland. On the night of 14 April 1912, during her maiden voyage, Titanic struck an iceberg, and sank two hours and forty minutes later, early on 15 April 1912. At the time of her launching in 1912, she was the largest passenger steamship in the world.
The sinking resulted in the deaths of 1,517 people, ranking it as one of the worst peacetime maritime disasters in history and by far the most infamous. The Titanic used some of the most advanced technology available at the time and was popularly believed to be ?unsinkable? - indeed, in a 1910 White Star Line brochure advertising the Titanic, it was claimed that she was "designed to be unsinkable". It was a great shock to many that despite the advanced technology and experienced crew, the Titanic still sank with a great loss of life. The media frenzy about Titanics famous victims, the legends about what happened on board the ship, the resulting changes to maritime law, and the discovery of the wreck in 1985 by a team led by Robert Ballard have made Titanic persistently famous in the years since.
