11 Weight Loss Tips

1.  Ultra low calorie diets don't work. If your body is subject  a mark drop in daily calorie intake, well below it requirements ,it will begin to burn stored fat. But it will also slow your metabolism to make your body more energy efficient, making it more difficult to lose weight. Worse still when you return to a more sensible eating regime the body will remember the lean times and begins to store fat. In expectation of similar occurrence in the future.


2.The health of your liver will go along way in deciding whether or not your weight loss endeavors will be successful. If you have a dysfunctional  liver it's almost impossible to make any significant weight losses.

Your liver performs over 600 functions at least 3 of which are very important for weight loss:

a. Everyday a healthy liver  produces 1 liter  of bile this bile is essential for the correct metabolism of fats.

b. A healthy liver burns stored fats to provide the body with energy, a dysfunction liver won't burn this fat making it near on impossible to lose weight.

c. It's the job of your liver to deal with all the toxins that enter your system. If your liver doesn't remove all the toxins from your body it stores them in your fat cells  This is disastrous  if you are trying to lose weight , because your body is very reluctant to burn fat that contains toxins. As that would release them back into your system.


3. Give your liver a helping hand avoid as many toxins as possible.  Toxins come into are body in 3 ways.

a.   Though the digestive track, try to avoid food and drink, laden with chemicals and additives , fruits and veg  covered with pesticides (buy organic or wash)

b. From the air we breathe don't smoke and do what you can to avoid air pollution  and don't use chemicals in an unventilated area.

c. Though the skin from cleaning materials and cosmetics.  Wear gloves when ever you use chemicals. Try to find natural alternatives  for cosmetics.

4. Eat a diet rich in all the essential vitamins, minerals, fats and proteins, to give the body  (especially the liver ) everything it needs, lack of nutrients will lead to food cravings, even if your body has received all the calories in needs.  A diet rich raw and cooked  vegetables , fruits, nuts and seeds,  and oily fish is ideal.

5. Give your liver a regular detox with either a warm water and lemon flush or fresh juice made with 3 part raw carrots to 1 part raw beetroot. You should also consider taking milk thistle as a supplement to boost your liver .

6 Avoid empty calorie foods these are food that provide calories without nutrients or very few nutrients and include white flour products, white rice and many other over processed foods.

7 Avoid drinking to much alcohol not only is it high in calories. It also lessen your resolve and make it much more likely you are going to succumb to the temptation of over eating. Also of course alcohol adversely affects the health of your liver.

8 Make sure you drink plenty of water. Water is a essential for weight loss in a number of ways, 3 of the most important are.

a. It prevent water retention and bloating. It's lack of fresh water that causes water rent ion. If your body any water shortage it will begin to store water for emergencies. The more water you drink the less problems you will have with water retention

b. Your brain can use 2 source of energy 1 glucose from your food, 2 electricity generated by water moving though the cell membranes of your brain. If you lack enough water your brain must relief on glucose. This can cause problems because when the brain the body need glucose it demands food.

The problem is only 20% of your blood and the glucose within ,ever reaches your brain the remaining 80% must either be burned by the body or stored as fat. By drinking more water you lower the brain demands for glucose and stop food cravings.

c. If you drink plenty of water you will feel full and you won't mistake thirst for huger.

9. Avoid soft drinks even diet ones. Regular soft drinks are packed full of empty calories and toxins .
Diet drink containing sweeteners are also very bad for weight loss. When you put something sweet in your mouth, body anticipates a hit of sugar,. It immediately stops using other sources of energy and prepares to switch over to sugar.

The problem with diet drink is they deliver the sweet taste without the sugar, this leads to food cravings as the body struggles to make up the shortfall.
