Everywhere you look, it's still you who has to do the work

Hello folks.  As you can see from my bio I have some experience in fighting the battle of the bulge.  So far I have managed to lose over 200 pounds, and I am still working my way down.  It's been a hell of a trip.  Along the way I have tried a number of regimes - commercial diets, self-help fitness gurus, vintage strong man philosophy, and ancient work out wisdom.  They have all been useful, but none really did the final trick until I came face to face with where the source of the issue was.  Me.  Once I came to terms with that, the whole endeavor took on a brighter and more real aspect.  I lost the weight.  Me.  And everyone who has a change they want to make to their physical form can do the same, once they finally conclude they have to do it for themselves.

Anyone who would like to exchange ides, come on over to Yuwie.com.  I'm part of a Weight Loss Support club there, and would love to hear from you!

Best advice I have for you

Primarily you have to take responsibility for your physical condition and address it from that perspective. This is not to say that it is your fault. That's not the point. But, addressing the issue and doing the work occurs in one arena only: you.
  1. Drink water. Lots.
  2. Write things down - what you eat and how you exercise. Keep track of how it affects your mood also, and learn from it.
  3. Study - Find out why fitness works, and how.
  4. Get some rest - Your body works best on recharged batteries.
