Learn some tips and strategies to help you lose weight fast and stay at a healthy weight.

 

Getting rid of fat and attaining a healthy weight can be a great challenge. There are many factors to consider including your diet and exercise habits. However it is also important to remember that motivation plays a key factor in any weight loss program. Here are some tips to keep in mind that may help you attain the weight you desire.

Tip 1: Build A Strong Desire And Motivation To Get Rid Of Fat

Many people rush into trying to lose weight by jumping on the latest bandwagon without first building a strong desire. The fact is that most people already know how to lose weight, the problem is that most people fail to follow through.

The first step is to come with compelling reasons why you must lose weight. Are you tired of being embarrassed all the time about the way you look? Don't you hate how you always seem to feel tired and exhausted? How would you like to someday look in the mirror and feel sexy and proud about the way you look? Get emotional if you have to since this is the fuel that will make following through with any weight loss program a breeze.

Tip 2: Write Your Goals Down and Review Them Daily

Once you have decided on some powerful reasons, the next step is to write these down on a piece of paper. Do not underestimate the power of writing goals down. Something magical almost happens when you do this and it dramatically increases your odds of success so just do it.

Now you need to set a specific date and weight target. For instance 4 weeks from now you want to weigh 10 pounds less. Be reasonable in your expectations so a goal like the one previously stated is fair and attainable. You must review these goals daily ideally once in the morning and once before bed. You can also carry this piece of paper with you and make this almost a part of you. This way you are now programming your subconscious mind to attain what you really desire which is an attractive and healthy physical appearance. If you follow tip 1 and 2 consistently then you are basically 90 percent of the way to success.

Tip 3: Implement An Effective Dieting Strategy

There are countless dieting books and programs out there. A key dieting strategy that seems to work well is to simply eat less but more often. This means that most meals will be comprised of food portions about the size of your fist. This will fill your stomach without making you feel stuffed which occurs when you overeat.

You also need to be aware of hunger signals and try to only eat when you are genuinely hungry. Of course, it is best to eat as many healthy foods as possible but every now and then you can still eat some of your favorite foods but keep the portion sizes under control. When you eat less but more often your body realizes that you will feed it regularly and will automatically raise its metabolism which will help you burn fat even more easily.

Tip 4: Exercise Properly

I wish I could skip this but it is critical to any long term weight loss plan and good health. There are 2 kinds of exercise you need to make sure you get enough of and they are aerobic and strength training. Aerobic exercise can be as simple as a 30-60 minute walk done 3 to 5 times a week.

An important point to keep in mind is that there is such a thing as too much exercise. If you work a job that requires you to be on your feet and constantly moving around then you may not even need to do any kind of aerobics. If you over train you risk weakening your immune system which can lead to many health problems.

Weight training is important because it will help to add and maintain muscle to your body and remember that muscle burns calories continuously so it is a key element to losing weight and keeping it off. You do not need to spend hours lifting weights but rather simply doing a few exercises even once a week can be effective that target the major muscle groups.

For instance doing a bench press and leg press exercise will target both the upper and lower body. The amount of time you take between workouts depends on how much weight you lift. If you lift a lot of weight then you may need to take up to 4 week between workouts otherwise you risk over training. It takes a lot of time for your body to naturally recover from weight training exercises so less is more in this situation.

Tip 5: Consume a Green Whole Food Supplement

Green drinks or whole food supplements can be found at most health food stores or at the supplements section at most major supermarkets. They are usually in powdered form and have a very green appearance. These supplements are highly alkaline and can help to neutralize the normally acidic environment in most people's bodies and at the same time aid in losing weight. These supplements are also loaded with nutritional value so they can be very good for your health.

These are some simple tips that anyone can apply to help them lose weight, look great and feel awesome. The basics of weight loss are simple - get motivated, eat right and exercise right. Good luck.
